What an amazing park! We stayed for 3 nights in late July on the FHU loop, Site 52. Big lot and plenty of room for our 24’ camper and truck. Several of the sites on this side of the loop had patios situated behind the driveways but we were small enough that we were able to use our awning and create our own side patio with no problem. The staff and volunteer hosts were great! Our site was clean and level with fresh gravel. Both bathhouses had AC! We walked several of the trails until the mosquitoes got the best of us. It was late July so not unexpected and won’t deter us from coming back in the cooler months! TONS of activities to keep kids entertained as well as an indoor nature center. Definitely a keeper. Solid 2/3 5G bars on ATT and 2/3 4G/5G bars on t-mobile hot spot. Easy drive to historic St Mary’s and 75.

What an amazing park! There are 4 RV loops, a tent loop, and cabins/bungalows for non-mobile friends. This state park was originally a resort in Santa Rosa Beach, and when the state park system took it over, they left the amenities, including full hook ups, pool, shuffleboard, huge, laundry room, paved, walking trails to the dunes, and heated/cooled bathhouses. We stayed in loop 103 which is the largest and furthest from the main entrance. At $45 a night you pay more than a typical state park but the FHU and spotless grounds make up for it. Fire pits/grills are not provided but you can bring portable ones. Most sites in have vegetation between them with the exception of the uppermost loop 100 which is on the entrance road. There are (literally) miles of paved walking paths which are closed to cars so wonderful for bikes and pedestrians. A tram shuttle runs every hour to the park beach and a coastal lake, both with restrooms and water fountains. Lots of bike racks to store your bike while you explore. Even has an on-site coffee shop on the camp store! Just outside the park there is 14 mile paved walking/bike path that runs along the coastal road through villages and towns with plenty of places to eat and shop. Reservations are hard to come by, but keep checking back and snag a cancellation!

We were part of a Trail Maintenance work crew and stayed in the campground, Site 9. Ours was one of the 2 paved sites so enjoyed having a little less dirt to track in the camper. Solid picnic table and in ground fire pit/grill at each site. The bathrooms are SPOTLESS and heated in the cooler months. Rangers and hosts were wonderful and checked in on the crew many times. Always had 2 or 3 bars on both ATT and T Mobile with several TV channels. As mentioned there isn’t much to do which is part of the attraction. The trees are on the mend and in a few years the foliage will be back between the sites. Aluminum recycling near the dumpster which is always appreciated.

Add Cloudland Canyon to your camping list! There are 2 RV/tent loops with the East Rim being the closest to hiking trails and epic views and the West Rim quieter and tucked back into the woods. There is also a tent only area, primitive campsites, cabins, yurts, and group sites so you’re sure to find exactly what you need! The RV/tent sites have water, electric, fire pits, grills, and picnic tables. Each loop has a dump station plus gray water drains situated around for dishwater etc. They have just renovated and enlarged the sites and added a brand new bathhouse (with heat!) and laundry. If you get bored looking at the incredible canyon and waterfalls, there are many trails (some easy and paved, some strenuous), caving, disc golf, tons of biking trails, and Chattanooga is about 30 minutes away. Go see Ruby Falls and Rock City! We consistently had 2 bars on both ATT and T-Mobile for keeping up with March Madness however the tower is on the next mountain over so it depends on your line of sight.

This is our first visit to the area and we were blown away at how nice this park is! Only 30 sites in 2 loops, each site featuring FHU with clean gravel, picnic table, fire pit, clothesline, and grill. We stayed in 16 and had a corner spot with plenty of privacy. The hosts pick up trash from your site each morning as the dumpster is located in the day use area around the corner. Aluminum can recycling near the bathhouse is always a great find! The bathhouse was clean and stocked but no AC so a bit warm during our stay. No laundry but we didn’t need it yet so not a concern. The private beach at the river was pretty and the hiking trails were wonderful with lots to look at! Check in was a breeze and the hosts and rangers were very pleasant. One teeny tiny bar on both ATT and T-Mobile hotspot but once the day use closed we were able to stream easily. Several OTA antenna channels available. We had a GREAT time and will be back in the fall!

Great little state park just off I-10 in North Florida. Only 30 sites and all are FHU. It’s in the middle of a pine forest so not much vegetation between sites but most are fully shaded with the tree cover. Our site #10 had sewer hook up at the edge of the road so difficult to use but we made it work before we left. The booking site says sites are gravel but they are actually for, so be sure to bring a mat and broom. Bathhouse was SPOTLESS and had 3 showers and 4 stalls each. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water, plus a separate changing area and bench in the shower stall. Trails were in good shape and the scenery along the river was beautiful! Rangers and volunteers were wonderful.

We stayed 3 nights over the Memorial Day Weekend in quiet loop 5. The site itself was perfect - tucked into the trees with no neighbors on our patio side or behind us. Our site had 30 amp service but several on the loop had 50 as well. The roads are narrow but we had no trouble with our little TT. Bigger rigs will need to use caution in some areas, but everyone seemed to do just fine this weekend. Our site had a concrete picnic table in the corner and a fire pit with grill. Some sites had wooden tables instead. Wonderful and well marked hiking trail system with many options for either short hikes or day long treks. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that the bath house couldn’t keep up with the full campground, many more tenters and pop-ups than they were used to. Twice there was no hot water in the showers and by the last day 3 of the toilets were out of service and the floors/counters were a mess. Not really the parks fault, but knowing the sites would be packed with larger groups it would have been nice to have more regular cleaning. We’re ended up just using our facilities and running the tote to the dump station each day instead.

Always love coming to Reed Bingham. Clean sites, plenty of room to stretch out, lots of shade trees. Bathrooms are well stocked and cleaned often. Site 30 in a FHU pull through that backs up to the forest so plenty of privacy.

A great little park in South Georgia! The volunteers were exceptional and were seen working all the time! The bathhouse was stocked and clean however there were no fans or AC so it was very warm. Our pull thru site #1 was very large and had plenty of room for our 24’ TT and truck. The trails were well kept and provided a nice morning walk as did the day use areas. The park provided WiFi but we did not use it so can’t speak to its strength. E did have 2 bars on ATT with no issues streaming or talk/text. We will be back when the weather cools off!

Enjoy this hidden gem of a state park, just off US 27 in southwest Georgia. Only 21 campsites situated on a calm lake but there are TONS of things to keep you busy. About half of the sites are on or overlook the water, with sites 18 and up nestled against the thick woods on the back line. Each spotless site has water, elec, picnic table, grill, and fire pit. If you want to enjoy the lake there is a boat launch and rental paddle boats, kayaks, canoes etc. A small playground is located in the campground and the day use area is full of activities including putt putt, a sandy beach, several hiking trails, and a well stocked camp store. Don’t miss the museum to learn about the Kolomoki culture and history of the mound excavations! Blakely is about 10 minutes away for groceries and a few local restaurants. You will struggle to find a cell signal here but a few blocks away at the visitor center you’ll find a stronger signal. Finish that book or enjoy the fresh air!
