I drove down here August of 2015. It's a great drive as you descend into the Grand Canyon toward the Colorado river. Be aware, it takes an hour each way and there is NO cell signal.
It is a graded dirt road, but in and after monsoon season, it can be a little rough.
You must check in at the Peach Springs visitor center to get a pass, as it is on Indian Land.
I highly recommend this excursion!
I stayed here back in 2014 while on a road trip to Sedona.
The hotel is beautiful and well thought out. The history is even more intriguing. I had such a great stay last time, I've booked 2 nights on my way to and from Sedona this year, at the end of August 2019.
This is a great location to wander down the street and explore some of the eateries and bars, but the hotel has one of the coolest bars on top of the hotel itself. They make a mean martini!!!
I've been to this park a handful of times. The wheeling goes from mild to wild! It is an old rock quarry that has been converted to an offroad park. The park succumbs to the weather quite a bit and can change from one visit to the next... But that's what makes it interesting.
BEST Carnitas Ever!
I've been visiting Tacos Mexico for about 3 years now.
The Carnitas is some of the tastiest I've had. I get it on Tostadas or tortillas.
The bistek is tasty too
I stayed at Rancho Topanga 2 years ago between Xmas and NYE. (Dec 2014)
The Foley's are FANTASTIC hosts!
The campsites are perfect for tents or an overland trailer.
The bath and shower facilities are top notch, and a great relief when roughing it out in both the parks.
The better of the two parks!
So good I'm coming back this winter for a weeks worth of Camping and offroading between Xmas and NYE!

This place is the cat's meow!
Mr & Mrs Foley are the best hosts, the place is well maintained and they have shower and bathroom facilities that are clean.
Centrally located between the two parks and with nice views from the camp sites.
This is a beautiful hotel. The staff has gone out of their way for us.
I'm sitting downstairs having a yummy breakfast as I write this.
My room was clean, comfortable and stylish.
25 years in the hospitality business and i love this hotel. I'll be back to track down the ghosts!
The beer can chicken was fantastic!
Pair it with the truffle fries. Yummy!
