We don't give out "perfect" ratings easily, but Yucaipa Park deserves one. We spent a week here and absolutely loved it. The sites were huge with concrete patios, they have full hookups, there's a very nice hiking trail (somewhat strenuous) at the park, fishing and swimming lakes (we got permission to let our dog cool off in the fishing lakes which he enjoyed immensely), and there are several supermarkets and restaurants within a few miles. AT&T and Verizon both worked well for us. During the weekends the campground was completely filled with local visitors (we were one of the only out-of-state license plates) having BBQs, while during weekdays we had most of the campground to ourselves and it was very quiet and peaceful. Since it's full on weekends, you need to make reservations early. Fires are allowed only if you bring your own elevated fire pit. The sites at the southern end of the campground get some road noise from Oak Glen Rd, but our site at the far northern end was completely quiet. We will definitely come back.

This is a very well laid out campground with huge paved sites. We only stayed here because we wanted to visit Hangar 24 Brewery in nearby Redlands, and this was the closest campground. It's nine miles on back roads to the excellent brewery so it was a perfect location.

All RV sites have full hookups and now cost $40/night. The website says senior citizens get a discount, but if you reserve they charge the full amount. Mention it at the gate when checking in and they refund $5/night back to your credit card. They also take your driver's license and program the gate so you insert the license and the gate opens after 5 when the park is closed. There are many signs throughout the park warning that you lock bikes and belongings, which made us a bit uneasy, but we had no problems during our stay.

Our site was a pull-through next to a school but we didn't hear any noise from it during the day. The park itself is beautiful and green. There are fishing lakes and a pool which was not yet open for the season, and a couple of hiking trails. Based on the huge number of parking spaces near the lakes and pool this is probably a crazy place to be during the summer. During the week in April it is peaceful and quiet.

One negative is that the showers are coin operated (50 cents). When you pay $40 for a campsite I think use of the showers should be included, but this may be a way of conserving water. Also there is some traffic noise at the sites closer to the entrance, but our site was very quiet.

We would stay here again if in the area. Shopping and the post office are within a couple miles of the park.

The park and campsite were very nice. Our site was nice and long and allowed us to park our 4Runner in front of our A frame. There are three small artificial lakes where people can fish, and families can play in warmer weather. There were lots of water fowl and other birds to watch. At night the coyotes put on quite a song-fest. Many of the surrounding mountains were snow-capped during our February stay. All in all a lovely spot. We arrived on a Thursday night. On Friday, place filled up with people who fished and families. This is near many urban areas, so the place got busy even in February. I suspect it is packed in summer.
The major downside was the bathroom/shower facilities. The one next to our site did not have electricity during our stay, hence no light at night and no hot water. We were directed to another facility which had hot water, but was far from clean and really worn out. It’s too bad that an otherwise lovely spot should be marred by the shoddy bathrooms and shower maintenance and cleaning.

Spent $160.00 for two nights, two tents, and 4 fishing passes .The first problem is we were charged $30 for an extra tent for the kids each night, the day we fished we were restricted to the middle lake, while they stocked the other two. When my wife was taking a shower in a muddy stall, Cal Fire decided to show up with a bunch of convicts to hang out outside of her shower and the sprinklers ran all afternoon with the smell of rotten eggs running throughout our camp... 9:30pm just left our camping gear the site is overrun with roaches!!!

We actually really liked this campground... it was well maintained, sites were very spacious and easy to get into, it was pretty quiet considering the proximity to the city and an elementary school, utilities were in great shape. If you're trying to stay close to Yucaipa, this really is the best place for the money. Added bonus... boatloads of rabbits! They are all over the place starting at sunset. Oh, and for the kids, great that the water activities and park are within walking distance.

Stayed December 12-19, 2017
Office is pretty organized, took down my plate info and scanned my drivers license to use for gate access. As a passenger, the check in lane and the road around Dump Island felt tight. We booked 1 week in spot 31 near bathrooms. Had a good amount of privacy from the trees and hedge. Only heard a few weekend campers use the facilities (they are concrete and echo-y). Restrooms were standard park restrooms, something we only used in an emergency situation.

Sites were blacktop, and we had a fair amount of sitting water from irrigation during the night.

A foot bridge is nearby and I had 1 person walk between my campsite and Spot 30, vs accessing an empty lot. Campsites are good size, some seem more "exposed" to the roadway than others. We were able to walk to the playground near the water slides to play. The weekend brought some partiers and a group who decided to play Hide And Seek loudly in the closed park area. There is no apparent camp host or ranger available after hours.

For me, it feels difficult to book a whole week (Took me 5 months to find an opening). Many of the sites sit empty Monday to Thursday and the park is filled on the weekends.

TIP: There are several large RV sites that fit 3 RV's for $120, if they are not booked they will rent those for $40 a night. On a day to day basis. We couldn't chance having to move everyday, so we didn't do this.

Yucaipa Regional Park was an unplanned stop for us. We had been camping in the desert when high wind warnings forced us to head west. We were able to get a spot for 2 nights, though we couldn't stay through the weekend as it was completely booked.

The campground itself is tidy and lush. Full hookups, pads are paved and our campsite was quite private. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

This is a comfortable regional park, lots of space between sites & at individual sites. We arrived immediately after several storms had passed through & maintenance was working hard to keep sites clear. We originally booked Site #3, a large pull thru with trees in front & a large grassy area behind but when we pulled in it was very apparent this site was completely unusable! The roots from the large trees had completely displaced the asphalt parking pad & we would have never been able to level our Airstream. In addition, the site was flooded with an approx. 12' mud puddle & there was no place to move in the site to get out of the mud, be able to level & still hook up. (in my opinion, I do not think they should use this site for anyone until the extensive repairs are made). We called reservations & they moved us to Site #8. This site was better but still flooded so we asked for maintenance to come out. Anthony showed up within just a few minutes & there was actually a drain that had clogged with mud & debris from the storm. He cleared the drain & was so nice & helpful. The only downside to this site is it is close to Oak Glen Parkway & it is a very noisy road. (So if loud road noise bothers you, the sites on the south end should be avoided).

On Friday night the camping sites started filling up with locals coming to camp & fish. There were a lot of fishermen around the ponds, families camping. There was a camper in Site #1 that had 2 (or 3) very yappy little dogs that barked continuously while they were outside.

The staff here is friendly & helpful. But in typical San Bernardino County style, maintenance is severely under-staffed & under financed. The grounds would be so much better if ground crews had the time to complete basic tree, brush & trash maintenance. One site was shut down completely because the fresh water was contaminated.

Good location, lots of restaurants, shopping, laundry, banks, etc. Fishing & playgrounds & nice walks.

Needed to vacate our house for a few days and stayed at this county park in Yucaipa. The sites are spread out in a hilly wooded area and generally peaceful. Many of the park facilities were closed due to Covid 19 restrictions but they were not an issue for us. It was a easy bike ride to shopping but on a busy four lane street with bike lanes.

Even though the park is only a few miles away, we would stay again if only for a change of scenery.
