Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 17, 2020Great Campground, all of the sites are along the creek. The bathrooms were nice and clean and the campground host is very helpful. About a quarter of a mile away from the beach. Make sure if you call to reserve a spot at this campground that you specify Rock Creek Campground in the Siuslaw National Forest. There are 2 Rock Creek Campgrounds in Oregon. Not knowing this, I did not specify and was booked a site in eastern Oregon. Luckily, there was a spot available for us for the night.
Had some trouble finding sites along the coast of Oregon mid August 2020 during the pandemic, but we found this little gem that had maybe 4 or 5 sites fcfs out of the 15 total. We got there around noon & they had all the fcfs sites available, although most are rather small. With only sites 1 & 2 with sun #1 is a small fcfs site the rest are fully shaded & of those most are tent sized. We managed to get our 22.50 trailer on the #4 site but had to park the truck on the side near the signboard for the forest service which wasn't a problem.
The CG is only about 300 yds to the beach on this secluded section of the coast, you can walk down the road to a trail leading off to the creek. Which then crosses it & goes under the Hwy 101 bridge, giving access to a stretch of beach with hardly anyone on it. Close to the Heceta Lighthouse & 10 miles from Florence with plenty of hiking around the area. NO cell in the CG, we had to walk to the road or the beach for a signal.
