“breathtaking views of Yellowstone Lake”
The Lake Yellowstone Hotel & Cabins, built in 1891 and a member of Historic Hotels of America® since 2012 was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2015. Historic Hotels of America is the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation® for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels across America. Lake Yellowstone Hotel was completed in 1891 as part of a series of hotels to accomodate visitors to Yellowstone National Park. Hotel guestrooms capture the historic ambiance, while an adjacent annex and nearby cabins provide more rustic and economical options. The building's classic white columns accenting the yellow exterior of the hotel create a vision that stands apart from the surrounding forest and meadows. Lake Yellowstone Hotel features a gift shop, a casually elegant restaurant, a deli for on-the-go dining, and a sunroom that overlooks Yellowstone Lake. The hotel is open mid-May through late September. For Price Match Guarantee and Special Offers please visit, please visit HistoricHotels.org.
Reviews
Great lodge. Be aware there is no phone, WiFi, television or radio. You'll be so tired from seeing the park all day that you won't miss those items. Food was mediocre in cafeteria and restaurant. Easy location to get to rest of areas in park. Would definitely stay there again.
