Confirmed by 6 users | Last reported on September 21, 2023The total eclipse of the sun was coming and we had no campground yet. Most campgrounds were fully booked a year or more in advance. So was the Worland RV Park and Campground, 30 minutes away from the totally zone. However, when I called, we were offered to dry camp on the field for one night, and move to a spot with electricity and water the next day.
We got a phone call a couple of days before the eclipse, that there was a cancellation, and we could stay hooked up for both days! When we arrived, we got welcomed very warmly, and got the attention as if we were the only ones arriving on that day, while the campground was packed.
We decided to stay two more days and enjoyed it a lot, it got pretty empty after the eclipse seekers left. The campground used to be a KOA (the third in the country!), gravel and grass sites both. Nice and clean restrooms, and laundry facilities. There is a mosquito sprayer that comes in once in the two days at 10:30 PM, and is pretty noisy, but is gone fairly fast.
If you go here, visit Thermopolis: both the bathhouse hot springs and hike in the state park, and the fantastic Wyoming Dinosaur Center are worth visiting, at about 30 minutes away from the campground. And on walking distance from the campground, there is another nicely set up local museum: http://www.washakiemuseum.org/
There are multiple good restaurants in Worland too.

5 STAR: Worland RV Park and Campground is a great find for us. We are traveling across country, and our Chevrolet diesel 3500 slowed to a crawl due to DEF mechanical issues. We found a highly recommended, honest diesel mechanic to repair our truck (Bruce at TDC Diesel LLC). He actually towed our travel trailer to this RV park. We were greeted by the most friendly and helpful RV park owners that we have ever met. They offered to take us wherever we needed to go and come back and pick us up. They said that they have been in our shoes before and are paying it forward. The park is VERY nice, quiet and clean. The fulltime RVers here keep their area looking like they just arrived. Thank God for RV owners that care. Their gift shop is full of unique, inexpensive hand-made items and necessities. Very nice restrooms and laundry room also. I could go on...

This was a nice find. The owners are very helpful. Sites are clean and well maintained. Bathrooms and laundry are clean and modern. They have a jigsaw puzzle to work on while you are waiting for laundry.

Very nice owners and a quaint little campground. There are some permanent residents but they are very friendly, also. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stop here again.

Agree with the other positive reviews. Not flexible at all on rates - get out by 11am or pay $10, out by 2pm or pay for another day. Very polite staff, though, and a very clean and quiet park. A good value.

We enjoyed our stay FHU’s were very strong and reliable, the laundry and restrooms were very clean. The sites are pretty close but level and shaded. AT&T was very good as well as Sprint which had full bars we didn’t make use of the parks WiFi. Overall a very nice place.

We found this RV park to be convenient leaving Idaho heading East. It was extremely hot so the FHU’s were a welcome relief. The 30amp was strong and reliable. We didn’t use the restrooms or any other facilities. The sites are dirt and gravel no grass or trees, ours was level and long enough for our 37ft fifthwheel. AT&T was good 2 bars and could stream, Sprint was full bars with a MIMO. It’s a good stop over. Only 10 miles from Pinedale Wy. The management was very nice. It’s really a good RPI or passport America spot for the price.

We booked one night but after getting here we decided to stay 3 nights. The owner was so nice and helpful. We had a problem with our generator charging the battery in our camper. He went out of his way to help us find the problem and get it fixed. Lots of things to do around this area. Very strict on check in times and I would imagine check out times also. Good Sam discount applies here. Bathrooms showers and laundry facilities were the cleanest I’ve seen in a while

I loved it here! The camp hosts had prepared a book of things to see, places to eat etc. The Wi-Fi was great. The laundry room was very clean with a book exchange library! No shade or BBQ pits, but we heard church bells! Showers were great. Camp host stayed outside the men's shower room, so that I could use it, as there were no handicap showers.
