We camped here in April, 2015 in a 35 foot fifth wheel. We received the Passport America rate of $16.50 for the first night and the regular rate for the next two nights. This is also a Good Sam Park.

After staying in several state parks we needed a full hookup park for a few days to catch up on laundry, shopping, and to receive some mail. When I called about reservations the owner was very nice and helpful and when I called back to change the dates of our stay we were able to do so without any problems. Check in was easy and the owner was able to answer all our questions about places to go. She even had our mail ready for us when we arrived.

The park is big rig friendly. Our site was a large pull through gravel site with full hookups very close to one of the laundries. There was some grass between the sites. The park has a swimming pool (not open when we were there), two laundries, free WiFi, and two enclosed dog walks. The laundry was very clean. Our Labrador Retriever had not been off leash for a while and she loved the fenced in dog walks where she could run free.

The park is located a short drive from Lubbock and there are restaurants and shopping close by. We were able to take care of all our chores including getting an oil change and filling the propane tank. I would recommend this park for visiting Lubbock.

We stayed here mid-March 2017. We had some business in Lubbock and this park was close.

Everything was clean and level. They had rock sites on most if not all sites. The bathrooms were clean and showers were nice. The staff was friendly. We were out a lot so we didn't see much here, but if we find ourselves back in Lubbock we would stay here again.

I didn't note the signal strengths but we have both AT&T and Verizon and I don't recall having any trouble with either one.

We ended up spending a bit more (no Passport America discount) because we stayed on the weekend, but it was worth it. We have family in Southwest Lubbock so the location was great.

Spots were very long and wide, so tons of space. 3 small dog parks, 2 laundries, a small pool, and some roads to walk on.

We used a few dog parks and were good and we used the laundry by the newer loop. It was good and worked well. $1.50 for a wash and $1.00 for a dry. So we could do all our laundry for not too much.

Getting in and out was a bit tight, but even in our large rig, not a problem. And again, the sites were huge, not much maneuvering needed.

We will be back.

Worth the stay with a Passport America discount. Sites are gravel and level. Very large sites between neighbors. No trees for shade but the pool helped cool us off. Pool was clean although small (enough for 4 people tops) laundry and gym were also well maintained. Each site has ample room for RV, TV and a large sitting area. We'll lit post with space number. Quite. So glad we camped here than a KOA!

This was a stopover for us driving through Texas to Austin. We’d recommend it if you need a convenient stop at a good rate.

Value:
While the park doesn’t have a lot of ambience, at the Passport America rate of $19, it was a really good value for full hook-ups. Spots were big and the pull-through spaces for overnight guests were pretty level. The wi-if speed was also very fast.

Dog-friendliness:
It was really nice to have a fenced dog park on site for our pup to run after a full day of travel!

Runner’s rave:
There was no time for a run but it looked like the only option would’ve been on the local streets.

The biggest negatives for us were how loud it was at night and that the last 15 mile leg of the road coming South is exposed farmland so we had no coverage on a high wind day.

Overall, we’d stay again if we were passing through the area.

Wifi: Verizon - 71.5 down, 41.9 up / ATT - 29 down, 11 up.....Mesa Verde has incredibly friendly staff and a stellar bathroom. This is one of the few places that actually has showerheads! Instead of feeling like I was in a dorm, it felt like using a normal house shower. Unfortunately there is little Verde around. We were in the newer part of the park, and it felt like a parking lot. There is no green between the spots, and no amenities like picnic tables or shelters. The park is right by the highway but suffers no highway noise.

This campground is very clean and presentable. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were in town to watch a basketball tournament and this campground is just outside Lubbock but close enough to be able to come back to between games and relax. Right beside a highway but very little noise carries over. No scenery, though.

PRO
Clean, level sites. Mine had a picnic table but not all did.
Strong selection of free cable channels and solid electricity at 30amp.

CONS
Water pressure quite low
No gate - come on... It's not very safe-feeling to know anyone could come in and have a drive around looking for stuff to steal. I heard a few cars come past that felt like they were doing a loop but it was impossible to know if they were residents or not.
The dryers didn't dry clothes thoroughly so needed a second run at $1.50 a load.

INFO
Good Sam discount accepted. Passport America is at some parts of the year.

Overall it was fine but improving on the weaknesses would really make a world of difference.

Clean gravel lot right outside Lubbock. Close to anything you would need. Pretty quiet for being in town. Used Passport America. Didn’t use any of the facilities - so I can’t speak to those. Although they do have laundry and showers. Great for a stop when going this direction. Would stay again.
