Umpqua Beach Vista and Viewing Deck Trail begins at the north end of the Umpqua Beach #2 parking lot near Winchester Bay. The deck provides views of the beach and ocean especially for those that need fully accessible facilities. A short, fully accessible trail will access the beach, where you can watch sanderlings avoid the incoming waves and look for interesting pieces of driftwood. The beach is closed to Off-Highway Vehicles. Winter storms may temporarily disrupt portions of this trail. Directions from Reedsport: Travel south on Highway 101 to Salmon Harbor Drive. Follow Salmon Harbor Drive 2.5 miles west to the trailhead.
