Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on December 30, 2021Great campsite near Wimberley, TX. Sites 1-5 are pull-thrus, 6-7 are back-ins.
Site 1 and 5 have their own picnic table and fire ring.
There are 2 cute cottages for rent here as well. Great if you are meeting friends without an RV.

Great spot. The campground is very clean. The owner was very nice and accommodating to us. Close to town. Sites are large and hookups worked good. I enjoyed the small camp because there was almost no traffic. Not too much to do at the camp but there’s a field for dogs to run around and there’s a trail to the creek bed down below the site. There is an old west town that is free to walk around at 7A ranch down the road. I told my parent to stay here when they visit in a few weeks.

Not many sites which gave it some privacy. Close to downtown. New nice hookups. Level. Pull through which made it easy. Only complaint is lots of ants and no tables on sites. We will definitely come back!

Amazingly close to town, the park only has 7 sites, which makes it very quite. All pull through sites, that didn't have any issue with my 42 foot 5th wheel. Very clean, new, and great hookups. Will certainly come back...owner was very pleasant and kind....

Black Canyon Wimberley (Wimberley, TX) was exactly what we were looking for last week when we decided to list our home for sale. We have taken the past year off from traveling, so it felt so good being back in the RV. Our rate was based on the weekly rate (which offers two nights free). This campground is relatively new and has seven RV spots and two farmhouse cottages. Everything was so clean, quiet, and well taken care of. Sally, the owner, was so great to work with and had the best suggestions for eating nearby. We highly recommend @blackcanyonwimberley if you are visiting the Texas Hill Country. Only the two premium pull thru sites have their own table and fire ring (Sites 1 and 5). If you can, snag Site 5. It's a large pull-thru end site with it's own fire pit and table on the awning side. Site 1 has the table/fire ring on the hook up side. But there is a communal area with a picnic table, fire ring, and wood. We booked Site 7 last minute, which is the smaller of the sites and one of two back ins. It fit our needs for the week but was difficult parking our truck. Because of our slide we couldn't reverse all the way back into the site. So we ended up having to park sideways. so we still had some sort of sitting area under the awning. Wifi is available and worked well for emails and light work, but we had to use our hot spot for streaming. Cell reception was great for calls, but could run a little slow for streaming. I am sure it would have been fine with our cell booster but we didn't give it a try. The campground is extremely quiet and convenient to the town of Wimberley. We loved grabbing coffee in the morning from Sips on the Square, and Community Pizza had great outdoor seating with awesome food! Make sure you take the suggestion from the owner on how to access area. Some of the hill country roads aren't the best for RVs.

We had an enjoyable stay at the campsite. Clean and very well maintained campground with full hookups. Just up the road from the center of town. Sally is an excellent host. She was very responsive, checked in on us to make sure everything was OK and provided suggestions for things to do.
We’d definitely stay there again.

My wife found this campground on Hipcamp. We stayed for two nights in Site 5. The campground is fairly new and was very neat and clean. It has electric, water and sewer. We were able to get local TV on our antenna. If you have children, there is no swimming pool or playground. Wifi was good. There are 7 RV sites and two cabins. Site 5 was on the end so we had more room on the passenger/awning side of our trailer. Sally, the owner, was very reachable and she sent a number of messages and texts with instructions and directions on getting to the campground. It took just minutes to get into Wimberley. My only disagreement with the directions are DO NOT take River Road to get to the campground. It is not RV friendly. Take Green Acres Rd.
