The grounds are pristine, and the bathrooms and showers are sparkling clean. There are pretty touches such as “fairy lights” that light the path to the facilities.
The staff is excellent and on top of things. Within 5 minutes of a camper leaving, there is someone there cleaning up the site. Our favorite camp hosts were Peggy and Dan. They were so knowledgeable, informative, helpful and sweet.
There is more space between sites than there usually is at a typical Michigan campground. Perhaps this is because the sites were built to accommodate boats.
There are so many things to do in this area. You could spend a month here and not run out of things to do.

No water at sites only electric. Gravel sites. Some look pretty good eleven is not level. Sites are back in and short. Had to park at an angle because I didn’t want to unhitch. Beautiful lake and beautiful place. Gravel road to entrance.

This was a family favorite, Kids playground, good hiking trails, near waters edge with a lot of boating campers. Campground layout was very interesting with cleverly named sections. Nice foliage cover far enough up not to scratch top of camper. Be sure to bring quarters! There are reasonably nice showers (big enough for two!) but it is a quarter for 7 minutes of water...test your speed to cleanliness! Nicely paved area for scooters, bikes and one-wheels.
Was thrilled with the strong Verizon signal. I was able to take work Teams conference calls all day long using my JetPack.
Warning: dirt gravel road included!

The color of the water in the lake is like the Florida keys. The facilities are nice and clean. 4 bars of Verizon. Some sites are not very level. That is the only issue. We were in site 9 with a 30 for fifth wheel. It was great. If our fifth wheel was much longer we would have had to back in further which would then not be level as the back starts to decline. Friendly staff and a great campground close to Traverse City.

The bath house and plenty of shade are this campground's only redeeming features. Bathrooms and unisex showers are nice and they were clean.
Site 42 was huge for our van, and we were able to get approximately level with a little fiddling.
Folks at the entry gate are both nice and helpful.
However:
Access is via a nasty muddy washboard potholed dirt road. The sites are all dirt and pine needles. Signs in the bath house warn against air conditioning during truly hot weather because the campground electrical system can't handle the load. Showers are an extra $0.25 per 2.5 minutes, not a deal-breaker, just annoying.
