This was a wonderful experience. The only complaint is that we had first class seating and the website states there were no children under 16 allowed in first class or the dome area. On this trip there were several children under the age of 10 in both areas

Had an amazing experience! Rode coach to the Canyon. Live entertainment on the ride there. On the way back, we rode on the dome cabin. Beautiful views at 5pm. Snacks are included, including champagne (apple cider for kids). Entertainment was the best! Hotel is beautiful, but you can get lost so easily!

Just did the trip in the Parlor car last month. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and recommend it to anyone planning to be in the area. Stayed overnight in the GCRR hotel prior to the train trip. The whole experience was top notch.

We chose Pullman which was the lowest class car. The seats could be turned so that we could all face each other. The windows opened which was nice because there was no AC in this car. The other class cars had AC but we enjoyed the windows open.

There was a cafe car with drinks, snacks, beer and wine. They take credit cards.

It’s not a scenic route by any means and it’s a LONG train ride (2hrs) BUT there was plenty of entertainment and Dennis, our PSA, was fabulous. He was so kind and generous. Great jokes and information to share.

Three hours at the GC was more than enough for our family since we had little ones and didn’t hike much. Two hours would have been plenty.

Be prepared on the train back to GCR...their are some bandits on the loose :) bring a few dollars to give them in case those bandits try to jump on the train.

Don't miss this! It was way better than I expected. Nice roomy seats with tons of legroom in First Class. I got a 20% discount coupon from my hotel. They go all out to make the two hour ride a great experience, with entertainers and a train robbery on the way home! Snacks are included with first class as well. The attendants give out so much information that we were very well informed by the time we got to the Grand Canyon. The ride back was great too - since we were all tired after three hours in the Grand Canyon.

Clean park, nice people. Indoor pool and jacuzzi was I little walk but very clean and nice. There is a huge open field across the way which is perfect for our puppies to run and romp in. Site was easy to pull in and clean and comfortable.

Expensive, cheesy entertainment, and the view is no better than what you can see from the road.

We only took the train ride, stayed on our own in Williams & Yavapai insise GC. Having 2 kids ages 13 & 12 I thought this would be a great "first" & make our trek from New Orleans to CA most memorable. I think it was worth it for that point alone. We were in Coach class, perfectly fine & comfortable. However, the trip itself was rather boring & we would have seen similar views from our car. So many love this trip but I would not do it again.
