“make a grand trip grander”
Since 1901, the Grand Canyon Railway has been taking passengers on a fabled journey into the heart of one of the seven natural wonders of the world. For those fortunate to have traveled on this iconic train, the Grand Canyon Railway is more than just a mode of transportation: It’s a trip back in time to what many consider the most awe-inspiring place on Earth.
No matter where you’re planning to stay—or what adventure you’re about to embark on—start and end your journey in an unforgettable way. Take the Grand Canyon Railway, and get ready for the ride of a lifetime. All aboard!
Train travel to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon from Williams, Ariz., overnight accommodations at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams or the Maswik Lodge inside Grand Canyon National Park, dining at the Grand Depot Cafe, motorcoach rim tours, Wild West entertainment. All-inclusive vacation packages are also available.
This was a wonderful experience. The only complaint is that we had first class seating and the website states there were no children under 16 allowed in first class or the dome area. On this trip there were several children under the age of 10 in both areas
Had an amazing experience! Rode coach to the Canyon. Live entertainment on the ride there. On the way back, we rode on the dome cabin. Beautiful views at 5pm. Snacks are included, including champagne (apple cider for kids). Entertainment was the best! Hotel is beautiful, but you can get lost so easily!
Just did the trip in the Parlor car last month. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and recommend it to anyone planning to be in the area. Stayed overnight in the GCRR hotel prior to the train trip. The whole experience was top notch.
Don't miss this! It was way better than I expected. Nice roomy seats with tons of legroom in First Class. I got a 20% discount coupon from my hotel. They go all out to make the two hour ride a great experience, with entertainers and a train robbery on the way home! Snacks are included with first class as well. The attendants give out so much information that we were very well informed by the time we got to the Grand Canyon. The ride back was great too - since we were all tired after three hours in the Grand Canyon.
Expensive, cheesy entertainment, and the view is no better than what you can see from the road.
Can't wait to do with the whole family and do the whole trip. My daughter adores trains
We only took the train ride, stayed on our own in Williams & Yavapai insise GC. Having 2 kids ages 13 & 12 I thought this would be a great "first" & make our trek from New Orleans to CA most memorable. I think it was worth it for that point alone. We were in Coach class, perfectly fine & comfortable. However, the trip itself was rather boring & we would have seen similar views from our car. So many love this trip but I would not do it again.
Clean park, nice people. Indoor pool and jacuzzi was I little walk but very clean and nice. There is a huge open field across the way which is perfect for our puppies to run and romp in. Site was easy to pull in and clean and comfortable.
