Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on June 22, 2023Off season stop over, the pictures looked nice enough but it's just a giant parking lot with angled back in sites. Way in was sorta rough tight turn roads, but no problems. The hookups are all on the grass edge so might be a stretch for some. The pay kiosk is not for the campground, it's for day use, so you needed exact change or a check. 35 plus technically they wanted another 25 for my toad, but I didn't pay that. Had to unhook the toad just to get some change. While a few miles away at the c store noted rough looking types open carrying pistols...guess this is that part of Utah. This park (there are several in the management unit) is next to a state gun range, also a few rough looking types around. Heard a few shots fired. The camp host was very nice and allowed me to long park my rig since the place was empty. The one bathroom I reviewed was not cared for. You can't see the lake, you can see the earthen dam around it and fields. I sense this place and related campgrounds are pretty busy in the summer, but I will never find out. Perfectly serviceable overnight stop, but I'd choose something else in the future. Phones and hotspot worked as was able to stream tv.

Nice area and beautiful views but the sites are just stripes in a concrete parking lot and the mosquitoes will eat you alive!

Came in late hoping for walk in spots and got lucky with a two day availability. Staff was helpful and got us a full hookup spot. Like others have said, it’s basically a parking lot with the middle grassy median being where tent camping is while the outer edge is where RVs hook up and gazebos are located. Starlink worked well as spacing between outer ring of trees and inner strip of trees allotted for decent sky coverage.
Pros:
-Angle of most sites work well with sun path during the summer where our awning was able to shade us for most hours of the day.
-Right next to the reservoir for fishing and water-based activities.
-Beautiful views of the nearby hills and far away enough from the highway for peaceful sleep.
-Very flat up until you get near reservoir burms which have stairwells.
-Ace Hardware conveniently located nearby.
-If you’re into guns or archery there is a nearby gun club and in the immediate area bow targets.
Meh:
-Some spots have decent tree cover while others unfortunately do not.
-Some gazebos are placed correctly so you can walk from your RV entrance to it directly while others are situated next to hook ups so you have to walk around your whole rig.
-Not a terrible drive from site to upper Ogden so grabbing food or gas is a reasonable trip. Biking would be a chore with the backroads to the site from nearby interstate/town.
Cons:
-There’s a lot of bugs (notably mosquitos) so bring bug spray and don’t turn on your exterior lights unless you want bugs crawling all over your rig and inside if you open the door.
-Bathrooms were dirty and had bugs (including black widows) crawling around them.
-Not many entertainment amenities in the immediate area if you’re not into water-related activities or sitting and relaxing.
