“Alive with Wickenburg history”
Visit Vulture City to remember and celebrate the history of the American West. The ghost town is located 12 miles outside of Wickenburg, Arizona. Visitors are thrown back in time by the many faithfully restored buildings and remaining artifacts as they enjoy a 1/2 mile gravel path walk through the town.
We couldn't find it. ☹️
If you're looking for glitz, this won't deliver. If you're looking for HISTORY and Authenticity, THIS IS IT!!!
Personally, I Loved this place and all that they are doing to restore an actual mining town. It does happen to be haunted, and I captured a couple of Orbs, not dust, real orbs, in daylight photos. Plus I had a physical experience. But everything about this location is about love of history and real artifacts. The work they've done here is amazing and driven from the heart.
Then there is Tina. Not sure what her actual title is, but I could have chatted w her all day and then some. What a wealth of information. And quite possibly THE most fascinating individual I've ever had the blessing to meet. She is as important to the essence of this place as the artifacts.
The self guided tour was $15 and worth every penny, the money being put directly into restoration. Not an easy task. But they're doing it w great respect and integrity.
I'm so glad I visited and only wish I could have stayed in the area longer.
For those who enjoy a bit of reading, I also recommend the series of mystery novels written by a local author and sold there. I should have purchased the entire series. Enjoying a fun and creative read.
I highly recommend this for any and all history buffs. It's the best authentic ghost town that is not commercialized. Just real history.
