“camp in a pristine, century-old hardwood forest”
Our newly opened campground in the beautiful Tunica Hills area NW of St. Francisville, La was developed to give hikers, bikers and nature-lovers an opportunity to camp in a pristine, century-old hardwood forest in the heart of the Tunica Hills. Unlike other campgrounds, we've taken great pains to leave this beautiful site as natural as possible for the enjoyment of our guests; we've also labeled trees & plants to educate our guests about the unique flora & fauna of the Tunica Hills. The campground is adjacent to one of two Tunica Hills Wildlife Management Areas and is near the Clark Creek Natural Area (Tunica Hills Waterfalls) that draw so many city dwellers to this area for recreation.
I always have a good time camping in Tunica Hills. My suggestion: go a little further down the road to the "primitive campground". It's free to camp, you can park next to your tent, lots of space, barely any other campers, and porta-pottys are available in the vicinity.
