We showed up hoping to camp in mid-October only to find the gates locked. Turns out they don't allow overnight camping during their winter season which is October to April.

Site: 10
Wifi: Verizon - 22 down, 11.8 up / ATT - 19 down, 8 up
Cost: $22/night
Noise: None. Eerily quiet.

A reservoir/lake in the middle of the city was a great base for exploring Denver and the surrounding areas. The sites were spacious, with picnic tables and fire rings. There was potable water at one spot in the roundabout, so you could fill up and then park. The bathrooms were a short walk and were regular toilets and very well maintained. Though there was not much to look at and nothing really to do there but leave, it was a steal compared to some of the parking lots that called themselves RV parks in the area. To note, it is a gated area. Ron got locked out when he did not return before sundown and spent the night driving around the city because he could not get back in. The gate attendants were friendly and there was never any issue of us coming and going otherwise.

Rating: Good spot to stop, but not much around.

The RV spots are first-come, first-serve. We paid $22 per night for 2 nights. No hookups although they have a water hose near the restrooms/shower with potable water.

We stayed near the end of July and the weather was cooling off a bit so we didn't need to run the generators much. We used the outdoor shower behind the restrooms and it worked fine. At least you have a great view while you're showering off.

Good access to Denver and Boulder from here.

It’s not a first come first served, you need to reserve before on the web site. It’s a dry campground, no dump and no alcohol permit. The shower is outside with no intimate but it’s warm and an amazing view!!!

Nice quiet clean park. Probably because of the no alcohol allowed. Lol
Most RV space I would consider huge, even for our 36’ RV with plenty of room to park our jeep on either side. View of lake and surrounding mountains. Restrooms were clean and flushing water. This is dry camping with picnic table and fire ring. There is faucet to fill your water tank. Park rangers are very friendly and helpful. They sell firewood for $5 a bundle. Cell service is good for both AT&T and Verizon for us to work and zoom meetings.

No hookups but a Central Park to restock on supplies and make minor repairs. Spacious sites mostly level. Beautiful lake with rental items available. King Soopers just down the street. Shade is limited and it was hot but solar worked great. Quiet and walking trails near.

Despite limited amenities, no hookups, dump, or showers, this is a great park with spacious sites that are pretty level. There is an outdoor shower and nice clean bathrooms. The lake is beautiful and rentals are available. Shopping, banks, and groceries close by. The perfect place to catch up on errands. Be prepared to hear generators.

The fact is; If you a looking for RV Parks in Denver and the surrounding metro area, offerings are scant and most of what is available, is a disappointment. Standley Lake is a great option, especially if you don't require a lot of amenities.

Reservations are required.
Fresh water is available, along with a single restroom facility w/ an outdoor shower and dumpster.
The area is maintained and overseen by a great group of kids and rangers. They are VERY helpful and friendly.
What makes this property great is, the NO ALCOHOL regulation. It deters the partiers, riff-raff and belligerents from showing up, so, no drama here. You can, however, consume alcohol discretely in your own space. Gates close at night and there is a guard on duty. They run a tight ship.

Activities include Fishing, SUP'ing, kayaking etc; along with rentals for all of these. No Swimming or dogs in or near the water, as this is a watershed.

If you need to dump tanks, and are staying in the area for a while, an annual access pass-card to Westminster City wastewater treatment plant is available to purchase at city hall. This dump facility is part of Big Dry Creek complex and it's modern and very well managed. It's about 20 minutes from the park and is probably the best option if you plan on being in the area for a while.

Generators are allowed as long as quiet hours, and decibel restrictions are abided. This is enforced.

Very quiet peaceful campground right outside Denver. Stayed here overnight on the way to Rocky Mountain. If you have paddle boards/kayak, bring them. The lake is really nice. No shower. Friendly staff.

For $19/night boon docking by a reservoir, it's ok. the campground is run by the state and first-come first-serve. There are water hoses throughout the park for drinking water. There is no swimming or wading in the reservoir, but motor boats is ok... don't understand that logic. we camped here in the heat of july, but everywhere else was full up. so, it's ok, but not super grand. also, no pokestops in the park, what gives?!
