“homemade Italian cuisien”
The Guerrera family immigrated to the US in the late 60’s from Carlantino, Italy, a small town bordering Roma, Italy. They were eager to bring traditional dishes to the Sacramento area. They opened the first family restaurant in Vallejo, CA in 1968. In 1973, the Guerrera family opened Roma’s Pizzeria on Franklin Blvd in Sacramento, CA. Tony literally grew up in the restaurant, playing and later working to help with the family business. Roma's has been operated for many years by Pietro (Pete) Pozzuto and his wife, Antoinetta. They've built a great tradition of pizza lovers and Tony is very thankful. They have retired howevver the business will be in good hands, as it's now owned by Tony Guerrera. Tony has grown up in the pizza business and will continue to operate his Roma's Pizza & Pasta on Fair Oaks Blvd in Carmichael, while overseeing the original Franklin Blvd restaurant. With great love and dedication, the family established a reputation for outstanding pizza, pasta, and soup, winning “Best Pizza in Sacramento County” on several occasions. The family takes pride in serving and knowing generations of customers. According to Tony, “It is a great pleasure to see the same customers over the years and watch their children grow and come in. It’s like having an extended family. Tony promises to provide the same quality product and service customers have known and loved for over 40 years.”
