Weed Airport SB Rest Area

September 15th, 2022: RVer reports Sept 2022 - Yes. Rest area was open. RVer reports March 2022 - According to all websites this rest area is open not closed. RVer reports Feb 2022 - Yes. This Rest Area is now open. Info provided by CalTrans confirms that this Rest Area is closed 'due to Maintenance Operation.' There is no announced date of re-opening. When open, Overnight RV Parking is officially not allowed, as confirmed by multiple reports from Nov 2020 & earlier. The State of California generally allows parking in Rest Areas for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period, unless there is signage to the contrary. This rest area has signage confirming the 8-hour parking limit, and also signs stating No Overnight Parking. CHP places a low priority on enforcement unless there is a complaint or problem. RVs park overnight here regularly, without incident, as confirmed my many reports from Feb 2020 & earlier. Rest rooms, potable water, & a pet area.
