“doesn't get much more remote than this”
The Bunkhouse is located in a sparsely populated, mountainous area, of Central Vermont. Except for far northeastern Vermont or northern Maine it doesn't get much more remote than this. This is one of the largest remaining tracts of land in the State with the least number of traveled public roads. The interesting attraction of all this empty land is that it is crisscrossed with endless miles of abandoned Class 4 town roads and old logging trails. These are not maintained for vehicular traffic but are still perfectly useable for the purposes we are offering. These roads and lands consist of thousands and thousands of acres of un-inhabited forest land, all accessible from the Bunkhouse. The VAST snowmobile trail is only a few hundred feet from the far end of our property. We are five miles up a WELL MAINTAINED Vermont gravel road. Then 1/3 of a mile up our driveway through the pines where you then break into open pasture, the pond and the Bunkhouse. We are also a mile from our nearest year round neighbor and a mile from the nearest power pole. We are solar and generator powered for all our (and your) electrical needs...
