“A true gem in our nation's capital”
Rock Creek Park is truly a gem in our nation's capital. It offers visitors an opportunity to reflect and soothe their spirits through the beauty of nature. Fresh air, majestic trees, wild animals, and the ebb and flow of Rock Creek emanate the delicate aura of the forest.
Beautiful park with miles of forrest to walk through! If you exit the park and go up the road, at the top of the road you can walk across the ‘Connecticut Avenue NW’. A short walk across the bridge, but it has beautiful green eagle statues and huge lion statues at both ends.
An underrated “park” (more like a forest) in the middle of DC. It runs for miles as a narrow sliver. The park has historical ruins, stables, pretty rivers, nature preserves, and so much more to discover!
Truly an all season park - beautiful year round with hundreds of miles of paths. Everything from the National Zoo to the Mormon Temple can be found along its roads. Horseback riding, birdwatching, hiking, cross country skiing and kayaking can all be done within its borders. Delightful and wild.
