Although the National Aquarium in Washington, D.C. is smaller than its Baltimore counterpart, with the experience taking around 45 minutes, it is the nation's first public aquarium.
I love the aquarium! I've taken my family here many times. The inner harbor area is great to walk around and enjoy good food and drinks.
The major criticism of this place is it is on the small size compared to other modern aquariums, and therefore also has smaller fish.
In it's defense it was the first public aquarium in the country...
