Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 12, 2018Large state park, with 6 campgrounds and 3 boat ramps. Variety of campsites with water and electric. Both 30 & 50 amp service. All sites are wooded, paved, level with picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern post. Lots of room between sites for privacy. Unfortunately due to heavily wooded area, it's hard to see Truman Lake. Showerhouses are older, but extremely clean! Shower stalls were narrow, except handicap accessible stall. Large dumpstation with 6 sites and great access. Over 200 campsites. I'm sure it's very busy on weekends, but we stayed on a Thursday night -nice and quite!! Overall good experience.

We came here intending to stay a week, but had to leave after 3 days. The chiggers in site 25 were HORRIBLE. They literally were falling from the trees. Wife and dogs got majorly infested. The facilities were clean; it was a shame we had to leave. Limited water spigots made it very difficult to wash dishes and the water was horribly bleached and brown in color. They need to work on the bugs and the water availability and quality, and they’d have a gem of a park here.
Zero Verizon service at our site. Minimal cell connection at the boathouse.
