Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 30, 2020A small park and c/g on a lake off the main highway, but not by too much. Locals would love it as would travelers as it is near Hwy 2, the main E/W route and just off the connection to head to Ontonagaon. Sites are side by side, a little close together, but have electric. It's perfect for a travelers overnight refuge near a busy town with shopping and food/fuel.

Couldn’t decide if the overall should be a three or a four. Went with four because were looking at a lake. Sites are close. We had a 50a elec and water backin right on the water. Water hookup is shared with the next site so we needed our extra hose. The restroom/showers was very clean and new looking but no heat and it’s cool here even for summertime. There is a dump station. There is a park right next to the campground with playground, tennis courts, pavilions. Looks like a lot of seasonal campers.

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and found a spot right at the lake. By driving around we found the office and gave the site manger a call. He told us site 15 is still available and stopped by 30 min later. Great location and clean bathrooms. Some shade. We also took a walk after dinner around the lake on a pretty board walk. The camp manager told us that one could walk all around the lake which would be a 2.9 mile loop.
You can hear some minor noise from the high road by.

We averaged $25 / night for W/E50/S/I. Our dirt site in this city campground was near a large beautiful lake. Sites were very close to each other. Internet service was very good. Our site was very unlevel as it sloped 6 to 8 inches side to side. Were it not for that, I would have given this campground 5 stars as a result of the fantastic value - $25 / night for full hookups!!!! I would stay here again!
This campground is accessible to all that the southwestern Michigan Upper Peninsula has to offer. Bond Falls about an hour away is not to be missed - it is tall, wide and has an incredible flow of water! Also not to be missed is Porcupine Mountain featuring the incredible Lake of the Clouds.

Campsites are very close together. People of all ages walk through the campsites. Kids running around screaming past 10. Dumpster is full after a day and trash will fall out all around it.

We stayed here in Sept, in order to meet up with some friends and enjoyed our stay. We were camped on a waterfront site and the view was beautiful, looking over to the town of Wakefield. There was very little road noise from the town. The park is smaller, older and there are lots of seasonal trailers but it is clean, quiet and safe. The bathrooms and showers are very nice. The showers take quarters, but I took two showers for $0.25 each.

We arrived late and it was quiet with only several RVs. Wifi worked fine. Our site was just dirt, luckily it didn't rain or else it would've been muddy and messy.
It was cold so I thought I'd shower in the morning instead. Come morning, both bathrooms for men and women were locked. Called the number and was told sorry. The host was nowhere to be found. We waited until check out time and no one came to open the bathrooms. The host knew we were staying there as he knocked our door last night to collect (we booked online). Why lock the bathrooms when he knows there are people staying in the campground?
