Another great "world 's largest". The navigation does not take you right there though, so make sure to head to the kidder recreation Center.
Checked of my list of giant things to see!
Hard to find!!! You need to drive deep into the Rec Area. Whopping Wahpper, once you find him!
It's a big fish tail... and a big fish tale to say you've been here.
OK, first thing to consider - KNOW WHERE IT IS BEFORE YOU GO.
It's really on Dabill Drive (not on Bypass Road, which is a main road).
Dabill is a driveway into the recreation area; believe me, you can miss it, twice, if you're not careful!
All the way to the end of the drive, past campers & outhouses, is the Wahpper. Take some pics, have a snack, and move on to the next place.
Supper neat , difficult to get to because it's in the rec area. But really neat
Everything you want in a roadside catfish! He's real big, he's real fat, and he looks real greasy! An easy stop just off a main highway, and as far as world's largest fish breeds go, of which I've seen many across this great country, thus far, the Wahpeton Wahpper is the biggest!
