They have tiny houses if you have friends that want to join you but don’t have an rv. It is a little expensive if you just wanting somewhere to camp

We glamp mostly. No judging. This is the ultimate park. Situated on 212 acres (!!!!), brand new. Level sites, tables and grills. The park is geared toward families. It’s a wonderland with pools, splash and tube rides. Immense playground with bounce pad, climbing and bike trails. For adults, swim up Tiki bar, pool cabanas and nice pickle ball and tennis courts. Sites are spaced well apart, well lit, and clean. Wifi is strong. Bathrooms are tiled and very clean. The construction is barely noticeable, it’s so large. Area is rural almost, not much around, so very quiet. Will definitely recommend. Ask for Alex, she’s very friendly, knowledgeable and will find you a nice site.

Be prepared for extreme disappointment.
I had very high hopes for my stay at Camp Fimfo but our stay was very disappointing. I want to preface this review by saying I have spoke with management at Camp Fimfo Waco and their solution to the issues I had was to thank me for my comments and they will do better in the future.
When I began planning our cross country move, Waco was going to be a good midway point for us to stop and relax for a bit. It was important to find a place to stay where we wouldn’t have to leave property and could just hang out and relax before having to drive another 1600 miles. Camp Fimfo appeared to fit all of our needs so I didn’t mind spending more due to the amenities that were being offered. Camp Fimfo sent out various emails and updates prior to the stay letting us know what to expect and that the bar at the pool would be closed. I contacted them after receiving that email to confirm that the bar and restaurant would still be open and the staff on the phone confirmed that it would be open for our dates. Upon arrival, we were informed that the general store and all of the bars were closed but then happily tried to sell us on using the pool in 45 degree weather and raining….
I should have just cancelled my stay at this point but I had no time to throw together a backup plan.
We get to our “Red Carpet” RV spot only to find it covered in mud with an extremely narrow pad and very little room to make the turn into the pull through site. The sewer connections are far away from the camper sewer drain and I was unable to use them due to only having one hose. If the general store was open, I could have fixed that issue and gotten another hose…
The weather was a problem as it was cold and raining for our entire stay. I don’t blame this on Camp Fimfo. The problem that was not addressed in planning the site was how much water the ground holds and lack of drainage. This cause a muddy soupy mess that made walking the dogs pretty ridiculous. As much as we tried to wipe down their paws before entering the RV, they still tracked mud everywhere. Out of the 6 different pros that we stayed in on our trip, we had rain at 3 of them. Camp Fimfo was the only park that we had any problems with the dogs getting extremely muddy.
When it came time for dinner, we had to take a 15 minute ride into town and find a place to eat and then drive back only to be cooped up in our camper the rest of the evening. It would have been nice to relax on property.
When we went to pull out the next morning, I had to get out of the truck and find construction workers 3 different times to ask them to move their vehicles due to them blocking right of ways preventing us from exiting the park. We finally got to the front office and I had planned to stop and address these issues in person with personnel but at 9AM, the office was locked and there was no one there. I tried to call them around noon only to get a voicemail. The next day I called again and left another voicemail. The following day I called again and spoke with someone who informed me that someone had tried to reach me but had the wrong number for me. Hard to believe that when I left my number twice on voicemails and they had sent me numerous texts about the stay prior to us getting there and had the right number. The only communication I was able to get out of them was email. I gave them a chance to make this right prior to writing this review and their solution was to say sorry, we will do better in the future. I paid about $50 more for this park than all of the others on my trip and they offered less amenities than any other park. They failed on setting expectations prior to the stay and failed again when given the chance to make it right. The RV resort has the ability to be something fun and great but seems like they are going to fail due to the leadership there. I hope this review helps someone else in the future have a better experience than me. I guess the “we’re sorry” apology is all I am going to get out of them for my experience.
