“set on the shore of Lost Lake”
Lost Lake is open year-round for fishing. Some cutthroat trout broodstock weighing about one pound each are stocked in March. The lake is stocked in April and May with catchable-size (10"-12") and again in the fall with good numbers of larger jumbo rainbow trout to provide a fishery through the winter.
A lakeside campground nestled up in the mountains with a crystal clear trout lake, with lots of activities to offer including fishing, hiking, atv etc. Paved roads are nice, and the grass by the lake is good to watch kids swim too.
Beautiful camping park that’s meant more for tent camping and not for RVs. Poor signage. Beautiful hiking and biking trails. The dirt road is rough on the RV. Would recommend only having a pickup truck or a Jeep to get through.
Lots of private land mixed with camping stops and hard to distinguish if you are on private land or camping grounds. No cell reception.
Came here first week of August and saw wild strawberries and raspberries while hiking.
