We stayed at another BLM site, but didn't realize that we needed to park off the road. BLM rangers ended up coming by at 11PM and telling us we had to move, so we packed up our van and came to this place. Thankfully it was easy to find in the dark and was not busy in the beginning of March.

This was the closest campsite to Zion I could find that looked good. It is a pretty area with great canyon views and a nice creek running thru the campground. The first entrance road is rutted much worse then the second. It can be a bit tight in here as the roads are not level and the bushes and trees are overhanging the roads. You can fit a large rig in here, but might get scratched up a bit depending where you go, scout first. We damaged a small piece of our trim getting out of here.
The reason we decided to leave here was the cold winds at night, this time of year its cold everywhere around here at night, so we moved to Virgin Dam area cause it was slightly warmer. The winds made it a nasty dust storm at night.
No amenities here, but there are shops around to get supplies. Once again, as in most of Southern Utah, AT&T service was good, Verizon not really usable.

This sandy little getaway near the creek is an awesome place to stay if you're visiting Zion. The place is totally free, no check in or anything, however there is a VERY nice port-a-potty with a donation box. The owners of the land pay for the toilet and request just a dollar or so to keep it up and running. This is a small price to pay to avoid the hectic crowds of the NPS campsites! This is the only amenity though, so don't arrive expecting showers or running water. A few of the sites would accommodate pull through's and bigger rigs, but the farther down the creek area you go, the more bumpy the road gets - be prepared for low clearance vehicles to scrape a bit. The creek is lovely and it's a quiet area with campfire rings provided. Continue up the road to visit the Kanab region of Zion National Park that most visitors miss. Lots of fun can be had hopping on rocks and exploring quiet vistas.

This place is crowded to say the least and while we saw larger rigs parked in the camping spots I would NOT recommend taking even a small rig or a trailer down into this area. The road is rough and you can tear up the underside of your RV on roadsides rocks.
We opted to camp at Sheep’s Bridge for the night. The campsites are not as cozy and they are not near a stream, but they are spacious and numerous.

We came at a time that wasn't very busy (March 15, 2018) and we were happy to get a spot nestled in the trees, right next to the creek.
Cons: We have a 17' travel trailer and anything bigger would have been very challenging. Even with our small trailer, it was tricky getting out. The road in is also full of holes. We were here for spring break so there was a noisy bunch of tent campers that came in at midnight and made noise until they finally set up camp a couple hours later. Completely oblivious to camp etiquette. Don't be that guy.
Pros: Being tucked in the trees with cows coming to drink from the stream was amazing. It was really magical and best of all, free.
Please be a responsible camper. There was lots of non-perishable trash around. So unnecessary. Leave nothing but your footprints happy campers!

We really liked this campground. There were plenty of sites when we arrived around 2pm, although it had mostly filled up by dark. In fact, each day we were there, it seemed like the campground cleared out early, and refilled again around dinner time. So, if you get here by mid afternoon at the latest, I would expect you’d find a spot. Our one complaint was there was a lot of trash lying around. We filled a couple of trash bags picking up just around the few neighboring sites to ours. But I think if everyone who camped did a little extra picking up, as well as not leaving their own mess obviously, this would be a five star spot.

This spot was great, especially since we relocated from a windier spot up the road. There is a creek with clean water (not sure if it’s drinkable) but we used it for doing dishes & showering etc...
There are plenty of spots and there were a few big rigs here in the front spots. We had a trailer and managed to get through no problem. Would highly recommend this place if you’re hiking the subway the next day as it’s just up the road and Zion is only a 20min drive away.

Not for bigger rigs unless you get the first spot coming on. Was very muddy and very tight navigating around back there. No way I could make this work in 20 ft trailer. More for tent campers.
