Signs coming west off of I-10 are discrete, they must get most customers from Texas as the east exit is more built up and might seem a bit gritty. Do not fear - the Casino is off the interstate far enough to feel rural but close enough to be convenient. Trucks & RVs directed to a well lit, large parking area in back. Felt safe, no issues. You can hear the hummm of the facility power plant. Great dog walk off of lot.
The casino is about 10/15 minutes off the interstate in a rural area and other than the hotel a/c etc, is very quite! We walked around quite a bit with the dogs and they got to meet some young race horses which was encouraged by the staff. We watched a few races right outside our Rv and the very friendly staff even offered to come take away our trash! Our inverter failed while here and they had no problem letting us do a little work in their lot.
We stayed in the back lot for 3 days while betting horses. No hookups but we used our generator.
Pretty quiet too. Casino was nice but food was a little expensive. I'd stay here again- people were very friendly.
What a wonderful find. Easy to find right off I-10. We were directed to the very very big parking lot for Buses and RV's set up and had a wonderful overnight. We ran the gen as needed no problem We were joined by 6 semi's and two RV's with plenty of space left on the parking lot. Some of the Semi's ran there engines all night but were to far away to be of any bother. This place is clean and quite and spacious, we did not go in to the casino but next time we will. I really recommend this place.
Huge well-lit lot. Quiet and clean.Inside casino perks give you $10 welcome credit for new members. Had a free drink, coffee in morning and on balance lost 50 cents. Definitely would come again
After having to turn around to go to Galveston, we found this place. On the back East side parking lot, there is plenty of room no matter who big your rig is. It's just a parking lot next to the race track, where but rig pull in also. We went inside to register and the lady at the front desk said, we don't have to register just park. Ok. It's boondocking situation, the park lot lights never go completely dark and the constant hum of the rigs and generator might keep up. But we were tired a got a good night's rest, time for the next adventure.
A bit off the beaten path, but so easy to get to! Nobody else was there and we got to watch the horses in the morning.
Just a note, the food inside the hotel/casino was a bit lackluster, but it wasn’t bad.
Security said they allow people to park rvs and stay at the hotel, but they don’t allow boondocking in their lot.
Checked in with Security at entrance to Casino inside main north entry. Both said it’s no problem (pickup with shell, no fires, no outside activities explained), and they said they don’t recall anyone getting a “ticket” for overnight parking. Only signage notes Casino is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles. Only one 18-wheeler in the lot when when I parked, in the east end of the lot. No trash cans or other camping amenities - pack it in/pack it out. Plenty of grass for pet exercising. Glad to be off the blustery, sandy beaches and away from the rumble and roar of the interstate.
Called ahead and spoke with security. Clay said absolutely come on and just park to the left or far back right of the entrance. Well light and secure. Backed up to a nice grassy area to the left for the pets. Will stay again if needed.
