This is a great little city park in a small quaint Oregan town. The park is priced well and is split in half. Half are tent sites and the other half are full hook-up RV sites. There is a paved bike trail that runs along the edge of the park. The park also has a nice playground for kids and a large pavilion area. The bathrooms were aged but clean. The showers are coin-operated.

If this park hadn't been as crowded during our stay, it'd have been even better. But Vernonia is a sweet town and this is close to everything, and it's nice to walk around downtown and to the river. Lots of bikes going by on path and we were right at juncture of campground road, bike path, and town street that cuts through to park. A few rowdy kids around, the usual grade B bathrooms. But all in all, a decent overnight. The WiFI wasn't strong where we were most distant from the host site.

Quiet during the week, nice walking trails and paths in town.
It's a whole different world on the weekend; expect lots of unsolicited foot traffic through your RV site and off-leash dogs running around.

We stayed for a weekend in early March, it was still really cold and rained a lot but we had fun when it was dry. The park is small and well kept. Definitely some full-timers but most keep their areas in good order. The hosts were so friendly and gave us lots of tips about restaurants etc. in Vernonia. From the park you can walk into town in less that 5 minutes where there are stores and restaurants. It is also right on the Banks-Vernonia Trail / Crown Z Trail. You can take a short 1 mile walk to Vernonia Lake where there is also a neat old building that is covered in graffiti art (some of it is really beautiful!) When the weather is nicer, this would be an ideal "jumping off point" for lots of outdoor adventures.

We made a reservation via the internet, arrived early at 12:30 and drove through the park noticing the site we reserved (12) was quite tight for our RV-tow car. We stopped by the host space but they were gone. I called the Park number and left a message, we drove over to the ballfield off of Bridge Rd. The host returned my call within 5 min. She was very kind and accommodating and moved us to site 17. I asked about coming in early (before 3) she said our site was open and it would not be a problem today. Which worked out great for us. We were only here 1 night and needed to get some laundry done. A small Laundromat in town. Not the cleanest machines and we only washed what we absolutely needed.
The town is very walkable, great little shops, antiques and a fabulous dinner at La Cabana. There are really nice walking/cycling paths at the camp ground. Several Creeks and Nehalum River . Very quite camp ground,
It was a perfect stop for us! We would stay here again most definitely.
