A series of beautiful green hill ranges serve as the backdrop for this picturesque park. The Ventura River flows through the park, which lends to the beautiful landscape of lush green vegetation that thrives among the adult shade trees. There is a separate Day Use area and two different campgrounds to choose from, Residence Campground and Red Mountain Campground. The Ojai Valley Trail (equestrian, bike, and walking) runs through the park. There are 21 sites for tents and RVs at Red Mountain and 27 sites for tents and RVs at Residence; some sites have 20, 30, and 50-amp hookups. Picnic tables and fire pits are provided, and there is an area for group barbecues. Drinking water, restrooms with flush toilets, a playground, horseshoe pits, and a camp host are available.

There's Foster Mt and Foster Residence: If you are tent camping: stay at Foster Mt. Foster Residence has all the water, power, sewer (at most) sites. Both locations lack level pads, and there are ants...lots of ants.

In previous years, Foster Mt had horrible cell service. We stayed at Foster Residence in July and found excellent cell service (Att, Verizon, and Sprint).

This is a quick drive from San Buenaventura Beach, and you'll pass through many grocery and food options if you take the local roads. There were encampments near Foster, in the last 6 months - all that's been cleared out.
