Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on November 17, 2023This RV park is right off of I-10. Surprisingly, it wasn’t overly noisy; however, we were parked near the back. Trains could be heard but mostly rumbling with a few horns. The internet did not work even with our extender. Directv satellite worked fine and Verizon was 4g 3 bars. Once you check-in, you pick your own site. The interior roads and sites are red dirt/fine gravel – yes it tracks everywhere. There is no real distinction between the end of a site and the beginning of a road which was a benefit for us. We had to pull the MH far up to get the tow out of the middle of the road which put the front of the MH jutting out. Luckily, there were no rv sites in front of us so we weren’t blocking anything. The site was pretty level, and utilities worked fine. Sites are close together with a large rock or pine tree in between. Roads are wide and easy to navigate. They have a very large dog park for those with pets. We would stay again but I think they are overpriced for what you get.

very good price. It's a parking lot but nice bathrooms. Huge fenced-in dog area but apparent that not everyone picks up after their dog. convenient location. near highway.

We've stayed here twice and it's perfect for that first or last stop in Texas.
The park is the cleanest dirt park we've stayed in. It looks like they "mow" it every day to keep it so clean! Wide interior roads and decent spacing of sites (typical interstate park). Some trees but back row with views are great for satellite. No fire rings (yay!) or picnic tables.
Level and 50 amp FHUs. Park WiFi didn't work for us, but our ATT MiFi worked great. They also have cable.
Largest dog run we've seen in 42 states - lots of room for pups to get their exercise. You can also walk out into the desert for a long ways. There are NO snakes in the cold!
Van Horn is pretty sparse with a couple eateries that have inconsistent hours. The local market is adequate. Propane by the Valero when they're open, and at the Pilot when they're in stock.
Next to I-10 the noise is surprisingly light. Great train that comes by a couple times a day.

Perfect for us for our night stay while traveling home. We called while driving and the office stayed open for our arrival (8pm) when they normally close at 6. Check is was quick, easy and friendly. We stayed close to the office and Wifi worked great for us as well as the cable. A little road noise from Interstate 10 but not enough to bother us. Park is clean. We stayed the night and hit the road again early in the morning so did not check out the surrounding area. We would stop here again.

We are traveling East on I10, we needed somewhere to spend the night and since it's so hot boondocking it's not an option. We got to this site at around midnight and we were so happily surprised. Flat gravel pull thru lots, clean bathrooms and showers, the owners are super helpful and nice. Little trees in every spot, which is nice since we are in the dessert. Full hook ups, wifi worked perfectly, cable (we didn't use it). Even though it's close to the highway there was barely any noise. Loved it and would stay here again.

We were there in a 39' 5th wheel. The "homemade" signs off the freeway made me leery of what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Ease of getting off the interstate was great. There is plenty of space to navigate through the park, all the spots were pull throughs, level, covered with gravel, wide and long. W/E/S were all good. Bathrooms were clean (needed a little upgrading), each is a separate bathroom, with sink, toilet and shower, I think there were 3 or 4 of them. Laundry room was clean, didn't use it though. We would definitely stay here again.

We had plans to go to a RV Park down the road however after arrival there, I was uncomfortable. We decided to drive down the road to a Love's Truck Stop. No room, we then saw this RV Park and pulled in.
It was clean, well lit, spacious between units (for social distancing). We went in and they said that they had room for us on the fly.
My focus was getting laundry done. Much to my surprise laundry was $1 to wash and $1 to dry - What a bargain!
They had 4 washers and 2 dryers. If there was one thing I would comment on would be perhaps expand your laundry facilities as I waited for a gentleman to finish up his laundry before putting my items in the dryer. Laundry was done at 10:30pm. Did not use their shower facilities however they looked clean.
We were right off Interstate 20. There was some noise however due to the CoVid-19 traffic was light as compared to what it could be. After being on the road my head hit the pillow and I was out.
In the morning we slept in, gathered up our garbage "leave no trace" disposed of it and left the RV Park. It was a low-key park with full hook up with trees.
We would return!

Very clean, services available: ice machine, laundry, restrooms. The power/water hookups were like new. The grounds were covered in a very attractive terra cotta colored pea gravel. Well lit without being a nuisance. Easy on and off the I-10. Restaurants and gas nearby. Quiet for being right off the freeway.

We attempted to boon dock at the I-10 rest area, way too noisy! Quick search on Campendium brought up this place. We called after 9pm and the owner answered and luckily they had plenty of space, all spots are 50' pull through, which made it super convenient for us since we were just staying the night and moving on in the morning. You can still hear some of the noise from the highway but it was tolerable. Highly recommend if your passing through.
