However, located next the river ( clear water-spring fed I was told. Also good opportunity for a float trip , if you arrive around noon for approximately 3 hour float ) and the area is prone to flood. Evidence of flooding could be seen on walls inside the bath house . As we walked around the property, we found areas of standing water ( from last flood?) and a healthy crop of insects drawn to the standing water.
Did note the main power shutoff box was mounted on telephone poles about 30 feet above the ground level. Bath house was rustic and adequate. When arrived to park, there was no staff present. Called phone number and was directed to available sites. Called back to as about Wi-Fi , was told the last flood had taken it away!
Probably would have rated 3 stars, except for the premium price for this area. With taxes, $67.42 per night.

This campground is now the Ozark Riverfront Campground. It is under new ownership and they are working hard to get it back into shape. The campground itself was easy to get into with both pull through and back in sites. Electric for now is only 30 amp, previous owner advertised 50 amp, but posts were not supporting that. Great access to the river with full hookups.

We stayed here for 6 days and the owner was more then accommodating. There is only one 50 amp site, but we didnt worry as the location of our site offered plenty of shade. It was easy access off us highway 60 and easy backing. The sites are slightly narrow but we had plenty of space in our huge rig. This is a campground, not an rv resort. There are tents as well as RV's but all sites are full hookups and the owner does a great job of spacing people out.
Bathrooms are a bit dated but owner works hard to keep them clean. Van Buren is an adorable little town and Ozark Riverfront Campground is easy walking access into town. This is right on the river with access to launch kayaks, rafts and tubes. Directly adjacent to Ozark Scenic Riverways National Park and is absolutely beautiful. The Landing is right here and provides affordable float trips on the river as well as a fabulous restaurant. We have at&t and had 4 bars. We are fulltime and this campground was an unexpected delight.
