A dump station is available in summer months near North Campground; use is included with campsite fee. Potable water is available near the dump station. North Campground is close to the Visitor Center, General Store, and Fairyland Loop/Rim Trail.

Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on May 06, 2022Our friends scored us a spot in the A Loop of North Campground a few hours before we were able to arrive. We were a little dubious about committing to 5 nights/6 days in a National Park campground. Just how nice could it be?
Well it was pretty darn convenient— perfectly located for a quick sunrise or sunset stroll along the Rim Trail, or for setting off on a full day hike under the Rim. The new Mixed Use Bike Path runs right by the campground, too, and we were the first ones to roll our wheels on it when we visited in mid-October. Tall ponderosa pines provide ample shade throughout the day.
Minuses were the constant trolling of large RVs looking for an available spot for about 6 hours each day, circling like sharks. The other drawback was the drone of generators from 8 am to 8 pm. Many spots were surprisingly un-level on this well-worn asphalt and gravel loop. Some rigs took literally hours to get into place. Hopefully their marriages were strong enough to survive the ordeal.
New restrooms were lovely and featured flush toilets and radiant heated floors. Dish washing station with hot water was also a plus. Fresh water hydrants are located every couple of hundred yards. No electrical, sewer or water hookups at all. We were on the loop closest to the main park road, so there was a bit of road noise each day. In the future, we'd prefer the top section of A loop which was above the restroom, closest to the canyon and had more sun.
A and B loops are for RVs— tent campers and shorter rigs use D and C loops. Only A is open year round. D and C loops had campsites in the dirt. Most sites are not reservable. Get there early!
We had good Verizon signal at the campground, and, indeed, throughout the park. A 15 minute walk to the Camp Store provided access to hot showers and laundry. However, on any given day, half of the machines and showers were out of order. So pack your patience along with a pocket full of quarters. The General Store did have soft serve self-serve ice cream which was Soooo good after a long hot hike.

When we stayed here at the end of March only loops A & B were open. The campground was full almost every night. Get here early if you want a spot!
We enjoyed our large pull through spot with towering trees overhead. The best part was that while the trees were pretty to look at, we still had plenty of sun to power our solar panels. It did snow on us one day, but that's what you get in March when you're up at 8,000 feet.
Didn't use the facilities so I can't comment on that, and the dump station was still closed for the season, but we did enjoy the visitor center and camp store.
Of course, the real reason why this campground gets 4 stars is because it's only a short 5 minute walk to the canyon rim where you can gaze in wonder, or lace up your boots and hike to the bottom and back. It was great to not have to drive to the trails, and if the weather was warmer we would have loved to ride on the newly completed bike trail.
My only complaint is that $30/night for dry camping is very expensive!
The cell service I have reported is with a booster.

It is amazing how quiet and peaceful the campground can be when outside of here it is tourist mayhem! But with our easy access we can walk to the rim to start our hikes are wait until off hours and take the car to different viewpoints. The shuttle bus is a short walk away, as is the visitor center, store and lodge. The cost is a small tradeoff to be able to easily enjoy the park and a splurge we were happy that we made.
When we arrived, the entire park was closed to any new vehicle traffic. It was totally full (Memorial Day Weekend). We had a confirmed reservation and sailed right through the barrier to our campsite!
There is a picnic table and fire ring at each site. The A loop is reservable and has many sites that are not level. We witnessed some amazing feats accomplished with leveling blocks. I would look to book in the front row of A (A13, A15, A17,A19) for more level sites.
There is generator noise on/off between 8am-8pm. We had plenty of sun for our solar panels to fill by mid-morning each day. Cell service was useable, but did slow down periodically (too many tourist selfies I suspect). While we have a booster, we didn't need to use it.
We had friends visit and the camp host gave us no grief about adding a tent and extra car to our site.
For a great overview of the park book a trip on the Rainbow Bus - a free option from the park, reserved 24 hours in advance. Goes twice a day all the way to the end of the park and includes natural history talk, walks around various viewpoints and history of the region. A great first look that helped pick out what hikes and areas that we wanted focus on. Also the added benefit of keeping us out of the tourist centric areas and no need to fight for seats on the shuttle bus or parking spaces on a busy weekend.

All sites are first come/first served and the campground is often full by noon. Arrive early and/or midweek for your best chance at getting a spot. Each site has a picnic table and firepit. Site quality (size, level, and separation) varies widely. Most sites have some trees/shade.
No hookups, but there is a dump station. Potable water is available in the campground, but they have altered the spigots so you cannot attach a hose. You can fill your water tank at the dump station. There are flush toilets and a dishwashing sink, but no showers in the campground. Generator use is allowed in loops A and B, but not C and D. (Loop D was closed for renovations when we visited in mid-May.)
The Bryce Canyon Lodge has a restaurant, pizzeria, and small general store with a laundry and pay showers.
We had 2 bars of 4G unboosted and 4bars of 4G boosted.

In late March the campground was first-come first-served. We arrived late on Friday and got the second to last site available. We got lucky. There's overflow boondocking on the west side of the road just south of Bryce. The sites at this campground are fine, mostly level and a bit cramped. Some pull-throughs and some tent-only sites. The real selling point of this campground is its location. Walkable and/or otherwise easily accessible to some of Bryce's best hikes.

It is a really nice National Park campground but not nearly as private or neat as BLM sites. That being said, it’s really pleasant that the campground is divided so that tent/van camping is seperated from RV spots. There are plenty of shady spots to beat the heat and sunrise rim is a short hike from most sites.

This is a nice campground and is a great way to see Bryce Canyon- sunset point is only a few minutes trek from most campsites. The campsite itself is pretty average for a National Park but definitely one of the nicer ones. The stars were incredible and the canyon itself was awesome.

North Campground has no hook-ups but it does have flush toilets and power in the washrooms, which were clean. It was first come, first served and the ranger was very nice when we arrived, helping us pick our spot, (B 40). We were walking distance to the Visitor Center, where shuttles were waiting to take us through the park. Although cold and snowy, the campground was woodsy, pretty and a pleasant place to stay. $10 with Geezer Pass.

Beautiful National Park but campground needs some help.
We had read that the park would be re-paving this June. All sites were first come first serve. Unfortunately, no signs of re-paving and it really needs it. Campground roads are deteriorating, the campsites are uneven and several inches below the roads. It took several tries to get into a site.
All in all, our site was probably one of the best. We were in loop A which is designated for RVs over 20 feet.
Bathrooms were ok but no shower ( showers at the parks general store).
Even with these inconveniences, we’d definitely stay here again. Being in the park is hard to beat.

Bryce Canyon North Campground was first come, first served which was WONDERFUL for those of us who don't want to plan months ahead and have to stick to a rigid schedule. We arrived around 10:30 AM and there was a steady flow of campers in and out of the CG. It didn't take too long for the CG to become full again, but all day there were at least some campers coming and going.
After entering, drive around until you find a site and then go down to the fee station and fill out a form with your information and put it in the fee box with the receipt on your campsite post. Having a variety of cash on hand helps to avoid having to search for change.
Loop A was for 20 feet and above, but was not enforced as there were teardrop campers, etc. in there and it was full. We chose a site in loop B which would have been ok, but I saw site 36 open and we ended up taking it. It was very spacious for our 32' Baystar and quite level. There were sites in front and behind it, but none directly beside it.
The picnic table was a few steps below the site. There were trees around, but we got plenty of solar. There are no hook-ups, but there is a dump station close by.
Besides the beautiful setting and being able to get in at the last minute, not having to drive anywhere was the best part. The hiking trails were right off the campground. We got up before sunrise to take pictures of the hoodoos and it was wonderful to have them right outside our door.
There was a table at the entrance of the CG to leave things you no longer need so other campers can use them. There is a general store that was VERY pricey - $7.50 for a pint of ice cream. There are shuttles through the park for visitors. The bathrooms have a camp sink room for washing things. There were camp hosts making the rounds, but we had no interaction with them.
The only downside is there was nowhere to unhook our car after entering the park. The overflow parking was packed and there was nowhere else to do it until we got to our site. In the future, I would unhook before entering the park.
Good Verizon service with a WeBoost.
