There is free water and trash at the campground entrance. Dump is $10. The cows can be overly friendly. LOL We did find ourselves yelling at them to stop scratching themselves on our RV. LOL Cell service .... ATT is 2 bars 3g, but the closer you get to the tower (out by the lake) it's better. Also the Verizon tower can be seen up on the mountain over the visitors center. So if you camp in the area near the pit toilet/camp host, you can get both ATT and Verizon service really good. LTE on both! Easy access! See our video on this location. https://youtu.be/sohxwqAUMZU

Love to camp here, it’s pretty spread out. There are lots of bugs at times and other times you may roll into your campsite with a few cow pies but overall one of my favorite places to hide away for a few days.

Great cell reception. Busy with Atvs. No hook ups, dump or water. Lots to do in the area. There were some cows and sheep roaming when first arrived. Lots of poo around camp sites. Nice view.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was wonderful! Lots of spots available and pretty flat spots. Pretty area but lots of ATVers, so it can be a bit noisy during the day. Was spread out and we didn’t end up having any neighbors. Some cows, but never got too close to us. AT&T and Verizon both had service here. Would stay again!

This place would be great, were it not for the large herd of cows, their crap, and subsequent flies. They aren’t cute or friendly, they are a pain. They knocked over my solar and other things several times trying to rub on my trailer, make tons of noise at dawn to wake you, then moo all day until after sunset. However, This is the only site in the area with good Verizon coverage.

This is a large area of National Forest land, which campers share with cattle. There are wide open spaces where 2 or 3 rigs can share campsites. The area is about 4-5 miles on Strawberry Road toward the Strawberry Bay Campsites and marina, and it's right off Route 40 from Heber City. It will be on your right side and is marked by a short paved road in and then a cattle gate. As you get close to this road, you'll see RVs parked on the hills inside. It's quite rare to find no one there, but I bet it happens in the winter, since it's about 7200' elevation.
Some of the areas are on a slope, so you'll just have to check out what's there. Many locals go out to set up their rigs for weekends. You may want to come early to get a good spot. It's quiet there and everyone seems to have a good time. Check my blog on this site if you want to see photos.
