This could be a great place. The campground has only 1 full hook up. There's great access to the huge reservoir, however, the "state park" is right next to a highway in which huge semi trucks carrying gravel pass through every 10 minutes. No joke. All through the day and night, trucks in both directions, every ten minutes. Our site did not have a grill or fire pit. But other sites did. It kinda felt like an abandoned campground. But it has nice green grass and some trees.
Scofield State Park is situated 7,600 feet above sea level in the Manti-LaSal Mountains of the Wasatch Plateau. The 2,800-acre lake offers excellent boating and year-round fishing. During winter months, the area serves as a base for snowmobile and cross-country skiing in the spectacular mountains surrounding the park. The park offers 2 campgrounds. Mountain View campground is located six miles north of the town of Scofield, offers a 34-unit campground, modern restrooms, hot showers, fish cleaning and sanitary disposal stations, group use areas, and boat launch ramp. Madsen Bay, campground has 36 sites and is located on the north end of the reservoir.
