This was our second time at this campground. Good views of reservoir and mountains from many of the sites but some sites are not very level. Laundry and nice restrooms but showers are push button, one temp for all, and the pressure is way too hard with no adjustment.
Also there is some road noise from Hwy 40.
Easy 10 mile drive to Park City for shopping and restaurants. Also just 35 miles from Salt Lake City. Hiking trail nearby and access to rail trail but both times we've stayed here it rained almost the whole time so we didn't really get to check out the trails.

Our first night here we were in site 103. I reserved it online because of the photos and it seemed like it had a nice water view. The site was a un-level, but work-able and the water pressure was off the charts. We have an internal regulator, and added an additional to the hose as well as a water filter and it still seemed like it might be too much, so instead of hooking up our water, we filled our fresh water tank and used our pump.

After our first night, we learned that there were sites with full-hookups for $3 more a night, so we moved to site 67 where the water pressure seems even crazier.

We learned that the full-hookup sites are usually for camp hosts and we got lucky because we came here at the end of the season after most of the hosts were gone.

Overall it's a lovely campground. The campsites are a little beat up from the weather. Many aren't level and most have tar covering the cracks. There's a little bit of noise from the freeway.

We were able to get 9 channels of television over the air.

The best sites with partial hookups are: 81, 80, 79, 78, 77, 76, 75

We camped here through September. Most of the sites are not level. In addition there is gobs of tar covering the cracks on each site that may be a problem in warmer weather. Each site has a very nice fire pit with some cool equipment built in to roast using the fire which I have not seen at a park before. The tables are all aluminum and the sit on level concrete pads that are generous in size. There are views to the lake and surrounding mountains from most campsites but not easy access to the reservoir from the campground area.

The campground is quite large and easy for any size RV or trailer to navigate. There are 5+ separate loops to choose from with limited shade at each site. Some are pull throughs and others are back-ins. Everything from tents to big rigs can fit in this park. One of the loops is only for tents which is nice but it is closer to the highway. Despite that proximity it seems slightly less noisy since it is down the hill from the highway.

One thing to be aware of is the strong sewer odor that seems to affect the entire campground at certain times of the day. Its not horrible but you will notice it and wonder if your tanks are leaking!!!

PROS:
Easy access to Park City, Heber City and Salt Lake City
All sizes RV's will fit
Excellent Cell Coverage with speedy LTE on both AT&T and Verizon
Clean and easy to navigate
Nice site amenities

CONS:
Sites are very un-level
Some highway noise
No hiking trails
No easy access to reservoir

We have camped several times at the nearby Wasatch Mountain State Park and really enjoyed our time there but decided to give Jordanelle a try. I have to say, it is quite obvious that this park is funded much better than Wasatch. Jordanelle sites are all concrete with asphalt driveways and roads. The asphalt was actually re-done at the beginning of the 2015 season so everything looks quite fresh. The sites are well spaced and are (for the most part) tiered on the hillside so everybody gets a nice view of the lake. For the best views I would book something in Lower Fisher or Murdock Way, both located in Hailstone Campground. The sites over in McHenery are about the same but do not offer any hookups. Our site was on quite a slope so we had to use everything we could to help level our rig. The sites also offer very little in the way of shade so you will want to bring your own

There is a double sided dump station on-site with potable water. There are several playgrounds and showers and there is even a laundry facility. If you venture over to the boat doc area there is also a nice camp store with a few odds and ends but mostly snacks and drinks. They also handle various types of watercraft rentals in the store. We were able to take a friends boat out while there are caught several really nice fish.

About the only negative we saw were several sites being occupied but nobody was ever there. We were there on a major holiday weekend and to have some of the prime sites occupied but nobody home just seemed a bit odd to me.

We were very happy with our visit and will be making Jordanelle a regular place to kick back and relax now and then.

We stayed here mid September and were able to get a Walk In full hook up site. The full hook up sites are for the Work Campers and Hosts. At the end of the season they are available for $3 more as Walk Ins. These sites will come up on the reservation site. Our site was listed as 50 amp but was only 30 amp which was fine with cooler weather. All other sites have water/electric (some with 30 and others with 50 amps). Many of the sites have a view or partial view of the Jordanelle Reservoir and Bald Mountain Ski Area. Sites are nicely spaced side to side by neighbors across the road are fairly close so their noise travels. Many of the sites are very unlevel. We never did get level because we sloped to rear and needed too much wood. We just got close. You see a lot of wood, level blocks and wheel off the ground. Park was very well maintained.

You know, there are some nice things about this park but I still was really happy to leave. Could be I was tired of being in UT (which I was) or that I didn't really dig the Park City area (which I didn't), so I'll assume I was grumpy and give it three stars instead of less.

On the plus side, this place is huge, plenty of roads to walk around on and exercise the dog. There was also easy access to the lake for swimming. The view of the mountains was pretty nice and you could receive packages and mail. Site spacing was good and most had large sitting areas. Verizon and AT&T were both fast and there was laundry available. SLC is an easy day trip away.

On the negative sides, there was some noise from the highway, finding a remotely level site was a lucky thing andthe pavement which had recently been done was soft (wouldn't want to be there in the heat).

The kicker was the Eau de Jordanelle. It wasn't all the time but it was often and it could be very strong. I believe it was coming off the dump station which is down at a low point in the park because whenever the wind was blowing from that direction it was go back inside bad. You know when it earns a name, it's not a good thing.

Well maintained campground with nice views of the resovoir. Some of the sites are not level, so be careful to check for that (I believe it says in each site description), but ours was pretty good. We got a spot next to the playground and laundry, with a great view. Electric and water only. This is our second visit and is the best spot I've found near Park City.

This park appears to be a newer facility - individual sites are nice, bathrooms and showers are clean and spacious, there is even onsite laundry in the park. We stayed in water/electric sites.

All in all Jordanelle is a pretty nice park. The facility is large, but the loops and terracing give it a smaller feel. But, $30/night is a bit expensive in my mind for W/E only.

My chief compliant would be due to the terracing, some sites are on a severe in/decline. We stayed in two sites 44 and 24. In my view, 44 is one of the best sites as it overlooks the water and has no immediate side neighbors. Site 24 is a pull through and has a fairly steep decline; the nose of our trailer was quite high once leveled.

Proximity to Park City is easy, cellular and data was fine (under boost), and unfortunately for Lilly, dogs are not allowed on the beaches.

I would give this campground a five star but the bathrooms could be more regularly attended. Same trash have been in bathrooms for five days. Such a shame since the grounds well attended and the hosts are friendly

This campground is always clean and friendly hosts. A great place to come with family, there's an awesome sandy beach on one side. The campground has Lake access that will allow your pups to swim too! I just wouldn't pick any site around 100 again. I didn't realize we were right by the dump station and you can really smell it every evening. Definitely would stay in another loop. You will hear the highway at this campground. But you get used to it. It's also close to Park City if you want to go and explore. There's a fantastic Whiskey distillery in the area.
