“spectacular views of Monument Valley”
Deep in the heart of the American Southwest, Goulding's Lodge offers comfortable lodging along with unique expeditions enabling the guest to search out the mystery and wonder that is Navajoland. We invite you to relax on your own private balcony and savor the spectacular views of Monument Valley, includingEagle Mesa, Brigham’s Tomb, King On His Throne and Stagecoach, just to name a few. After the sun has set on another perfect day, get cozy in one of our 62 non-smoking standard rooms, each of which includes the following complimentary comforts of home:
This was an awesome experience. It is located just outside the entrance to Monument Valley. All the rooms have a balcony that give you an amazing view of the sun rising over Monument Valley. The staff are incredibly friendly, there is a little theater that shows a John Wayne movie every night, a restaurant, gift shop, museum, indoor pool, fitness center and John Waynes Cabin he used to film one of his movies. I had no idea how much history this place had when we decided to stay here. This is a steal to stay at if you are heading to Monument Valley. The rooms are also very clean and comfortable. It is thanks to Harry and Mike Goulding that John Ford came to Monument Valley to film his westerns. Definitely at least stop and check out the museum if you are in the area it is incredible and free (donations only)! The restaurant is overpriced and the food was not very appetizing so keep that in mind if you are heading out this way and make sure you bring your own food if you don't want to spend a fortune. I can't wait to go back to this magical place and I recommend it one hundred percent. They do have a grocery store and gas station just down the hill.
Get a room with a view and you won't be disappointed!! The room has been updated, newer carpet, bathroom, and decor. The room is on the small side (2 queen beds) and the bathroom as well which are bummers BUT the staff is very friendly, the location is perfect for photography, guided tours and peacefulness, and the best part is the VIEW! Not all rooms have a view so be sure to ask for one.
As an RV site it is expensive but has incredible views. I did not stay in any of the rooms or cabins. My site was clean and security guided me into my spot at night. The stars are beautiful and moon is intense and bright.
