“80 feet high waterfalls!”
The Hemlock Falls Trail passes through an old-growth forest and some wildflowers may be found during the springtime. The falls are on Hemlock Creek and are about 80 feet high. The trail is steep and closed to motorized vehicles. Directions from Roseburg: Travel east on Highway 138 to Little River Road #17. Follow 17 for 20 miles until it becomes Forest Service Road 27. Continue on 27 to the Lake in the Woods Campground, located on the right. The trail begins within the campground. Seasonal Information: Normally Accessible: Spring through Fall
This was a fairly easy hike and it is definitely worth the drive. Once you get off the main road you hit gravel for what seems like forever but you will not be disappointed!
