Hidden Lake RV Park

We booked for two weeks here. The booking was fine but all very manual and interactions will be with the owner Evan.

We booked the day prior to our arrival and paid for two weeks. We arrived next day. Needed to text owner to come unlock electric box but this was done by afternoon.

Most of the community looks pretty permanent. Balconies and furnishings built outside. Everyone we met was kind or quiet. The lake is pretty and all the wildlife is nice. There is a gun range nearby and shooting can be heard almost all day long and many evenings. The pads are gravel and level. Hookups worked.

Our last day was very odd. We texted a few days prior asking the owner Evan to extend for one day. He informed me it would cost $92. This seemed very high but we planned to just pay and move on. My wife text him the final day asking to come drop-off payment ($100 cash) and he let her know it would be $40.

We had dropped off the $100 already so later that day I went and asked for $60 change. The entire interaction with the man was so odd, he started by saying he'd have to go look he doesn't keep that kind of money around (I asked several times for my $100 and I'd write a check for $40) at one point halfway through he brought me $51 change. Eventually after 10-15 minutes he brought me $60 cash... Maybe just plan your stay and negotiate everything up front! :)
