My family and I stopped at the Alanreed Motel very tired, the building looked kinda weird on the outside (with paintings on the front wall) but when we got in we were pleasantly surprised. The price was very low and the staff kind and friendly. I remember that each rooms door of the hotel is painted with a cowboy-themed mural. Our room was cozy, squeaky clean, the beds and pillow comfortable and soft, the air conditioner worked well too. The same owner has a post office and a gas station near the hotel and that’s a plus. If you want to spend the night at a quiet place and have a good night sleep for a very low price i totally recommend you the Alanreed Motel

A welcome surprise on our way back to Florida after 5 months out. This is a small and clean spot on top of a hill overlooking the Panhandle Plains. Right off highway 40 on Route 66 it provides a fantastic sunset and a very quiet stop. Hookups were fine, all drive through sites. Would stop again. Be sure to check out tho old Philips 66 station just down the road. Right out of the 50’s

Very convenient location right off I-40. Full hookups. Clean. Great for overnight. We stayed in our 41 ft fifth wheel.

The spots are easy pull throughs just off of I-40. Quick, convenient and cost effective. The spot was fantastic by itself but the real gem for us was the owner Dixie Jo. She is the sweetest lady we have met. If you are passing though the area stop in to her country store and buy a drink and some fuel, stay the night with full hookups and enjoy some of the nicest people on earth

A very basic campground all hook ups, no showers, no toilet. I got him a little before 6 PM and checked in. They only have 50 amp hook up and the nice lady loaned me an adapter. Then she said just return it in the morning when you pay.

Amazing hospitality!

We stayed here for one night just passing through. The lady was super nice and accommodating. It happened to be very windy during our stay. All gravel but cute separation walls between each RV. We were the only ones that stayed but there were a few full timers that were not around. Where else can you get full hook-ups for $20? The store is run down some but they had wine, beer and other snacks along with other gifts. Wine was about $16 and was ok. There was no gas at this location, the travel center is a little misleading.
