Rincon West is a large 55+ RV park. There is a staffed gate. Office staff is friendly and efficient. Sites are fairly level, there is some slope for drainage, but it's not bad. You will be close to your neighbor so be prepared for that. All sites have a concrete pad with a picnic table and a palm tree. There are two hot tubs and a swimming pool. Mail is delivered to your private mail box if you stay long term. There are many activities including a wood shop, lapidary, yoga, line dancing, sewing, Hardanger, pot lucks, card games, and etc. There are organized trips, lunches, hikes, bike rides and more. January and February are the two busy months. For what it is, a 55+ snowbird community, it's not a bad place.
The draw back to the park would be location. It's in the south end of town, which is not the wealthy side of the city. There is noise from the airport and the F16s that fly overhead. There is some train noise. There are frequent sirens. The nearby grocery stores are not great, they're not terrible, but the stores in the north end are better.
Bring your own internet. Park internet is just abysmal.
People are friendly in the park, so you can have as much or as little human interaction as you desire.

I have been coming here for the past few years spending a month each winter. This is a full scale resort with every activity imaginable. My typical camping is not this but I have family that lives full time in the resort. The resort is very clean and comfortable and I have made friends that return yearly. I will be spending another month next year.
The only concern is the air traffic overhead.
The monthly rent is reasonable, shorter stays are more expensive.
Southern Arizona in the winter is quite beautiful.

The review that says the price is $27 needs to be replaced. I pulled in and said that I wanted to stay a week and received a bill for $366. I should have called ahead and verified. Won’t happen again. The monthly rate is $895.

It says it is, but it absolutely is not. Most places will accommodate a large class A with a tow by either offering to let you drop it nearby if they don’t have a pull through available. These guys don’t even allow you to have a large rig. It is mis advertised

Most of Rincon Country West RV Resort is really for folks who are living them permanently or seasonally in their park model homes. Only in the far back corner is there really parking for JUST RVs. (Although even that "back corner" is probably home to well over 100 spaces.) So it feels like driving through a miniature suburban subdivision. It's location is in the heart of Tucson, so there's NO feeling of "getting away from it all" by staying here. In fact, your hear planes, helicopters & traffic. It's a city. But for us, spending 5 days exploring the area, it was a fairly central jumping off point for our explorations.
We had a "deluxe" pull-through site, which got us a nice patch of grass, a charcoal grill, a picnic table, good water pressure, clean electricity and a site with two different dump spots. There was cable TV available and wifi, but we just used my Verizon hotspot for streaming some Netflix and that worked great. We were close to our neighbors, but not TOO close. The more "normal" spaces near us would have put you in much closer proximity to your neighbors. For us, it was worth the extra $5 or so per day. (Having said that, the place really is pretty pricey. $70 per day is near the top of what we've paid.)
The place has many amenities, none of which we availed ourselves of. We were really only there in the evenings and for sleeping. But pools, sports courts of all kinds, several nice dog parks, rec center, auditorium, etc. etc. I would think someone longterm would find lots to do.
The security here is pretty stringent, which is nice. We'd certainly stay here again.

A large resort facility that is primarily park model homes. Paved streets and rock RV sites with a small concrete patio. Sites are back-in & will accommodate big rigs ASSUMING your neighbor behind you has not encroached onto your space. There is also very little space between sites.
The facility is gated & offers a number of amenities. There are NO speed bumps within the resort. There are separate sections for pets and no pets. All services are within a short driving distance but be prepared for heavy traffic. Nightly rate includes a 50% Passport America discount.
Like most large resorts there is a laundry list of rules but the majority of them appear to be selectively enforced, i.e. quiet times, 55+, etc.

Daily rate for short stays is $77. We stayed 4 months which reduced the daily rate to $35 per day. First time here and first time wintering away from home.
Currently, March, laundry is a sources of complaints, 3 to 5 machines have not been working for several weeks with no apparent schedule to repair them. This is in 2 of the 3 laundry room.
Gravel with cement patio area. Hope that gravel gets replenished before next year, mud when it rains.
On a positive note, great location, people are friendly. Park has lots of activities. Hiking is close, Tucson is great.
Noise can be bothersome, in the Airport/military flight path.
