This RV park has a total of 23 spaces on an asphalt parking lot. We stayed due to its proximity to a Sun Link Streetcar Stop for exploration of University of Arizona, Flandrau Science Center, and the vibrant Downtown District. The staff is extremely helpful & accommodating. Don't miss "the Loop" bike path, Menlo Park, and Eegee's (for an all-fruit slushie) - all within walking distance from the RV park.
The park offers free wifi. We were surprised we didn't have a stronger Verizon signal in this downtown location. Spaces are tight. 5 of the 23 sites are pull throughs. The pool is more like a large bath tub. And I can't imagine staying here in warmer months without grass or nature to help absorb some heat!

The rate we listed was the monthly rate plus what we paid for electricity.. This is a new park, which opened last September. I heard about it because the owner asked for feedback from an RVer Facebook page prior to opening, which impressed me.

The best feature of the park is its location, close to the Tucson street car which gives you access to many downtown areas, and just a few blocks from the main bicycle trail and walking distance to several restaurants, fast food joints, and grocery stores.

it is a large asphalt parking lot and each site has a picnic table. Sites are relatively tight as you would expect from an intown park.

We actually stayed in the park twice - we had reserved the month of March, then happened to be in the area in early February on our way to Phoenix.

I called to make a last minute reservation for the following two nights and they had just had a cancellation. The person making the reservation did not confirm the rate, and I forgot to ask. But I had looked at the rates on the website. The next day I discovered that the rate was much higher than the one on the website on my e-mail confirmation. When I called I was told it was a higher rate because of the gem show. I mentioned that this was not clear on their website and was told "I can't do anything because that is the rate". I had expected an apology for not having confirmed the rate, but there was no acknowledgment of a mistake. I let it go as lack of experience since this was a new operation and just paid the higher rate.

The owners do offer activities such as Thursday games, a Saturday movie and others and are looking to offer more as they hear from their guests.

As far as amenities, there is one washer and one dryer - apparently restricted by the city. There are bathrooms but no showers. The clubhouse has a ping pong table, a foosball table, and lots of tables and chairs for activities. There is a plunge pool with a few chairs around it.

There is an urban park a block and a half away which is nice for walking doggies.

Although it is in an urban neighborhood, it is a pretty quiet place, once in a while there are early garbage trucks in the complex behind the park. There are also trains that come by at all hours honking there horn. I recommend earplugs a white noise machine at night for light sleepers.

This was a tough one for us to rate. The location is the main draw for this new RV Park, being very close to downtown Tucson. The downside of being downtown is that the park is little more than a paved RV parking lot with a very thin strip of gravel between each site (check the Google satellite view for details). The RV park was very clean and the camp hosts were friendly and helpful. The price (weekly rate) was good for a downtown park, but the free WiFi is satellite-based and was unusably slow. The city park across the street and down a block (Menlo Park) was a great place to walk our dog each day, since the RV park is tiny and mostly paved. If you want to be close to Tucson and are OK with tight quarters, Sentinel Peak provides a good compromise between location, price, and site/amenities. We prefer a little more breathing room, so we'd only stay here again if we really want to be close to downtown Tucson.

This is a tiny RV park, about the size of a 7-11 parking lot. The staff is friendly, and the clubhouse is nice. Basically, they've done what they can to make this as nice of an experience as it can be.

Also on the plus side, you are just a block or two from Tucson's marvelous bike trail, which goes on forever.

Unfortunately, I can't give it more than two stars. I like to go walking, but the neighborhood does not seem very nice, there is graffiti everywhere and lots of run-down houses. Also, the noise at night is insane. It seems like there was a car alarm going off every hour or so.

Internet is terrible unless you go sit in the clubhouse. We were maybe 30 feet away, and could not use the internet.

We stayed at Sentinel Peak for two months. As others have said, this is a small RV park with limited amenities. A top notch on-site manager makes up for the negatives of this park.

The location is excellent if you want to walk or bike on the loop trail or venture downtown. There are also a number of local restaurants, shops, and grocery stores within walking distance. There is an awesome city park across the street (great for walking your dog).

It is a gated park, so we always felt safe at night. The park is located in a busy area with many apartments nearby. There are normal city noises - traffic, sirens, helicopters, etc.

It seems this is an investor-owned park. In our experience, parks without an owner/manager on-site are subpar in terms of facilities and service. This is true at Sentinel Peak as far as facilities go. The service is excellent though. This is due to the very hands-on manager. Nancy is one of the friendliest and efficient managers we have experienced in a long while.

In our opinion, the park needs several upgrades to bring the rates inline with the facilities. Theses upgrades include Wi-Fi (more or less does not work), adding another washer and dryer, and adding showers. There is also an awesome clubhouse that would be excellent for occasional RVer gatherings and dinners.

We would certainly stay here again.

We booked last minute (10 minutes away as a matter of fact) and by the time we got to the gate we had all the info we needed via text. This was very helpful after a long day. We felt safe and comfortable. No complaints.

Quick overnight on a 4 day run. Nancy at the front desk was easy to communicate with. It’s a small lot perfect for a quick stop with just enough room to stretch before starting a new day on the road! There are a couple of food and grocery options nearby and this was an overall great experience.

Great spot for visiting Tucson. Nancy was an amazing host. She keeps the park super clean and was very helpful. We had everything we needed before we arrived. Not a great part of town but we felt safe and secure in the park. The kids loved the pool and the clubhouse with a pool table, foosball and a ping pong table. Two blocks off of the “Loop” for biking. A hardware store and grocery right across the street. Plus Eegees within walking distance to grab a delicious Eegees slush!!

We stayed here because it was easy access to one of Tucson's great bike trails. Ace hardware, Food Mart, were across the street. Safeway was 3/4 mile away. Nancy is the camp host is very nice and accommodating. The park is clean and there are 4 pull through sites for big rigs. Small pool and laundry. Our site was right on the road a was a little noisy but not horrible. $58 Included tax using the Good Sam discount.

If you want to camp right in the city of Tucson, this is the place. Small, tidy, full hookups, easy access park. If you want to be near Tucson but not in the city, try Gilbert Rey or Catalina State Park but expect to drive a lot to get anywhere good. Place was clean, secure, felt safe. Did I mention really close to downtown? Long timers kept their sites clean. We stayed at one of the pull throughs in the middle. Laundry room, ping pong, community TV with Netflix. No showers in the bathrooms. Expect normal city noise.
