“Experience the California beauty”
Trinidad State Beach is 20 miles (30 km) north of Eureka in Humboldt County, California. This scenic State Beach is accessed from a signposted side road at Trinity Street and Stagecoach Road in the seaside town of Trinidad. The parking lot at Trinidad Bay below Trinidad Head is another popular access point. The offshore rocks are part of the California Coastal National Monument. Colorful tide pools provide specimens to Humboldt State University's Fred Telonicher Marine Laboratory located in Trinidad.
Trinidad State Beach is one of the most scenic beaches I have ever been to.
We decided to turn to see it while we were travelling north, and even though it took us more than half an hour to find it, it was worth the try.
Great natural trails, beautiful blue water, serene background and a few people, all these became the combination for our relaxing Saturday morning.
Do go and visit it...it is worth it.
This little beach was definitely worth the extra miles on my road trip through Humbolt and the Lost Coast. I arrive at 8:00am to find the area covered in fog, a few folks were in the restaurant, two kayakers were launching from the beach, and small blue jelly fish covered the sand. A charming beach, harbor and pier.
lots of trails, beautiful scenery. must do.
One word, wow!
Beautiful beach, great place to stretch your legs out for a little with a great view.
Does anyone know if you can camp around here? :)
