There are a few hikes, and I highly recommend 'left hand fork', it's my favorite place in Tooele county. In the spring there's a little stream running down the main canyon, and Settlement Reservoir is a popular place to fish. There's also one or maybe two playgrounds.
You have to pay $3 just to enter with a vehicle, $15 to dry camp (a few random spots along the road) or $25 for power and water hookups. They close the entry gate from dusk to 8 a.m. Honestly it's a little overpriced and there's usually a lot of people on weekends, but it's clean and fun there isn't much local campground competition.
Cell service is low especially the farther back you go, but boosted up to a couple bars of LTE on Verizon and ATT.

As a stop on a longer road trip we reserved a full hookup site. On arrival we saw a sign "water not potable". We asked (the very nice lady) at the booth but she did not know what was wrong with the water. We were fortunate that we had a least some water in the tank but not pleased to have paid for full hookups but weren't about to hook up the water to our system. The County folks should at least note the absence of good water and drop the extra cost for full hookup vs. electric only. Being a weeknight in October the place was deserted and quiet but a place I would go out of the way to visit.

We, along with friends, 2 RVs, 2 campsites reserved two nights with FULL HOOKUPS, including water, electricity. They gladly took an advance credit card payment of $120.00.
My husband and I decided to go a night earlier. When looking up how to contact this campground, my husband discovered that the water that was offered for the FULL HOOKUPS was NON-POTABLE. When he made the reservation he questioned that, and was told “the water is NOT for human consumption. He asked for an electric only campsite and a refund for the next two nights that had been paid for and reserved. He was told, she could not do that.
We were referred to, and talked with Dave Brown, Canyon and Trails Coordinator. I explained how we had been overcharged for our campsite, paying $30.00 for FULL HOOKUPS and would appreciate a refund because we parked in and used ONLY the electric, because the water was NON POTABLE we couldn’t use it. His response was,,,, “DID YOU ASK?”
Our conversation went nowhere fast!!! Dave brown said it was usable, I told him we couldn’t drink it!!! And would like a refund for the difference. Dave Brown then told me that was above his pay grade. He then gave me the name and number of the commissioner.

Campers at another site were not only rude and made noise until 2 am but also viciously kicked others out of their campsite so they could party till 2 am each night. After closing they took some boards down and put it over the out gate so others could come in without paying.

Like Middle Canyon Rec Area, this is a County-run campground and rec area. We tried Middle Canyon first, but we are in a 35 foot Class A with toad and the narrow two-lane paved road up the canyon was too steep for us. The road to Settlement Canyon was wider. They offer a half-price senior rate (55+) Mon-Thurs, so we paid $7.50 to dry camp. They do have hook-ups here, further up the canyon, but I don’t believe they have potable water. We drove only about 1/4 mile past the pay booth where there was a large parking lot on the right used by horse trailers. We found a level spot on one side that was perfect. This area gets lots of use by locals walking dogs, hiking, school groups, etc. Very quiet once they lock the entrance gate at 9pm!
