This place was still being built and was already amazing. There are large spaces in the woods only minutes from Huntsville. A quiet piece of heaven.
A beautiful large creek runs through it, with miles of walking paths, a horse barn, and spaces to play and relax. LOTS OF SPACE
Lee and Joy are fantastic hosts and will do almost anything to make the stay comfortable.
We got a sneak preview while they were just getting open and I cannot impress on you how much this Park has to offer.
Did I mention fossils? All over the place some of the oldest creatures to crawl the earth are there for you to find! I'm not kidding we saw trilobites everywhere along the creek.
I cannot judge access really as they were still working on the roads and with the plans they have, it will be very easy to get aro[und. We have a 44 ft DRV and with a little care were easily able to get around. we had a boondocking site and had to go fill and empty tanks and could do so easily.
Did we mention how much space there is?
We did have poor coverage for our mobile data but the phones and texting always worked.

This park has the potential to be a great place. While I am not convinced they have earned the “Resort” title just yet, they are working diligently toward it. For the moment, is a nice place to stop for a overnight or to retreat for a few days of peace and quiet. The park is relatively new and still under development. They are currently in phase 2 of a multi-phase plan. They currently have about half of their planned campsites open and are still actively developing.
As to the positives, we found the hosts to be very genuine, informative and professional. Many sites have decent spacing between sites and the sites that were closer were offset so you weren’t so smothered. All sites were full hookup with 30/50 amp, great water pressure (use regulator) and sewer. There is good Wi-Fi throughout the entire park. They have a nice playground area and some walking trails along the creek. Although the campground is at the back of a subdivision, it is definitely in the woods and you can enjoy nature.
Things that could be better. All the roads and sites are gravel. If they could pave the roads, it would greatly help. No good place to ride bikes or push a stroller. Many of the sites will require leveling. There is no bathhouse yet, which is ok with full hookups, but needs to addressed soon. Considering they are calling themselves a resort, I hope they will continue to add amenities that would reflect the name.
It will be interesting to see what this place looks like in a few years. Hopefully they keep going. I have included several pics, just keep in mind, still under development. We felt comfortable and safe the entire stay. It’s not far from Huntsville, Madison or I-65. We would stay again.

Not a “resort” as others have complained about, and it's hardly a decent campground at best. Horribly laid out and all gravel, hilly, unlevel, no amenities such as bathhouse, not even an office. Website photos do not match what you see when you arrive. You're lucky if the office is available when you call. No service or cooperation from office. First time I've even seen a campground charge for a daily security deposit and service fee, and they even charge for electric. Our site was so unlevel that we left early. This place definitely gives false advertising then charges you if you stay or if you don't. They sound like they are just charging people to finish in developing their grounds which is going to take a whole heck of a lot of work to charge those prices for people to come back.
