Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on April 07, 2023Upon arrival we were greeted and showed to our back in location. Staff is super friendly, gave us recommendations on what to do and see.
Site was very clean. They had a nice laundry facility. The park itself was located just on the edge of main street which made it easy to walk to everything but didn't have any of the traffic noise in and out.
They had a restaurant for breakfast with a nice menu selection.
Did not offer wifi or cable but had a strong signal for Verizon & Tmobile.
Loved our stay here and would definitely stay again. The only complaint is that you had to leave a deposit for keys to each of the bathrooms.

Stampede RV Park is convenient to all the attractions of Tombstone. We stayed at Stampede a week and were comfortable walking anywhere we wanted to go in Tombstone. Beyond the convenient location, Stampede leaves a lot to be desired.
As other reviewers have said, Stampede RV Park is trashy – literally. There are all sorts of junk and trash strewn around outside the office building and some of the permanent RVs parked at Stampede.
During our stay, a wild hog came into the park in the wee hours of one morning. The hog woke us up as it ripped open a trash bag outside the office building. The trash was not cleaned up until late that afternoon – at least 12 hours after the hog had his way with the trash bag.
Stampede RV Park has great potential. This could be an awesome RV park. Until someone cleans the property, this RV park is way over-priced. There are better options in Tombstone. We will not return to Stampede.

Seems like a nice place. Bath clean. Only one washer and dryer work. Road noises loud in day. Have map with directions to places. Helpful.

Told to back out. Through trees over deep dip onto thru street with traffic. Tree branches dragging on roof. Paid with cash. Mistake

Good little campground. The cons are that the sites are very tight, the wifi is terrible but in it's favor, you can walk to everything. Accepts good sam

We’ve stayed here twice in 2 years. Once for 7 days and once for a month! We travel in a 38ft Class A, with a Jeep in tow and dog.
Positives:
-Great monthly price! $475
-Down to earth managers, they are flexible and easy to work with! I say this as they allowed us to pick our spot, allow a friend that lives in a camper van to park in our spot for free for 3 nights with us (as long as they fit), and when we left 2 nights early they allowed said camper van to stay in our spot for the remaining 2 nights.
-The park is walking distance to Tombstone and a 25 miles to Bisbee and Sierra Vista
- Cell service for ATT and Verizon. We both work full time and need to conduct Zoom meetings, conference calls, coding, etc. Everything worked great!
-They have restrooms, laundry facility, and serve breakfast in the morning.
Things to consider:
-Book early!
-There were empty spots Monday-Thursday for those last minute over night stops but every weekend was packed.
-Small park with some tight turns and close neighbors.
- It’s not a ‘resort’ no pool, hot tub, fun amenities, etc.
Plan ahead, expect to be in town a lot, have the breakfast there, and enjoy the herd of deer that migrate through every evening! We’ll see y’all next winter!

We arrived and the spot we were put in was right on the corner of the busiest road in town. No sleep that night. Loud phone conversation in the middle of the night. Next day we asked about moving and they said of course. We moved across the street into the other half of the campground. Not bad over there. Water and sewer are on the wrong side in some of the spaces. Some people pull into the spots just to be able to hook up.

Park very convenient to Tombstone. 2 blocks to the Main Street. Some spots are very tight and some not so bad. Our spot 65 is no slide spot (we have slide) but they said they would not put anyone next to us. Very narrow between pedestal and fence and not a lot of wiggle room when pulling through in either direction. Bathrooms nice but only one stall and one urinal and one shower, but clean and updated. Restaurant on sight for breakfast and brunch is good. Would stay here again.
