Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 23, 2019We camped at Bayshore August 29-31. First impressions? Packed in like sardines but that view - oh that view! When I got out of the truck to survey the spot, my attention was drawn away from the fact that the sites are so close and completely focused on the view.
Sites are no frills and mostly level. There is a sandy section of beach that is accessible climbing down the rocks or somewhat of a trail by the owner's house. Each site has water, electrical and a sewer dump. Picnic tables are in each site along with a fire ring in most sites. The waterfront sites (from what I could tell) had their fire rings up on the berm. One suggestion would be to add stairs from sites up the berm to their campfire pit.
A walk across the street to the Tokeland Hotel & Restaurant for a meal is well worth it. We spent a dinner over there and really enjoyed it. Slightly over $100 for 4 adults is not bad (but we did not order alcohol). There is a public access dock in Tokeland (about a half mile down). Back toward SR-105 is the Shoalwater Bay Casino. There's also a gas station and North Cove Bar & Grill. We couldn't visit because they had a water main break and expected fix was a week out. Other areas of potential interest are Raymond to the south and Westport - Grayland to the north. Both are about 15-25 minutes and have unique characteristics.
The new owner of the RV park met us at the check in point and walked us over to the site. We learned that he purchased the park back in December and has been working on getting things into shape. There is a 2nd building onsite that he said will be a future airbnb but is not ready yet. He joined Good Sam but didn't initially understand the discount part (I think he does now). The restrooms were closed, I assume due to COVID but the reason was not given. There was a honeybucket in place. He's working hard at getting the place cleaned up. One morning, he was out during low tide cleaning up trash from the beach. It is definitely a work in progress and we wish him well as he continues to make improvements. We plan to come back next year, or maybe even during the fall/winter.

This park has it own strengths. A bit rundown but still a great experience for us. Tony, the owner, really treated us well. Let us stay in empty water front sites while they were empty at our lower rate. Met lots of really fine, fun families and older couples. Tons of great laughs around the waterfront fire pits. Excellent, historic hotel and restaurant across the street. Don’t miss it. Really excellent seafood store right at the marina where fish and crabs are caught and processed so fresh! Funky little park in a quiet little town. Yes, the sites are tight but everyone was cool and fun. We will be back. WIFI was excellent. 40 up and down. Did not overload at night.

We saw a few reviews in days past that did not make this look so good. We have found the new owners have really updated with new picnic tables and the best Wi-Fi we have ever encountered at a park anywhere. Full ability to stream anything you want. We have also seen the mud flat comments, but the beauty of this is the tide going in and out all of the time and changing the scenery out in front of you. It also makes a prolific amount of bird life and animal life right in front of you. The owners are incredibly nice and keep things regulated that matter, without over-regulation. For us, we will absolutely stay here again. We would have gone five stars instead of four, except the price is up there a bit. Still totally worth it!

So enjoy the owners and the camp is clean and charming. Beach access right on site. Only stayed 1 night but will return. Beautiful part of the coast. Not crowded or busy feeling and a pie delight.

Apparently under new ownership according to the gentleman who greeted us.
The resort is rather run down looking and the fee seems excessive. We had a slot with a waterfront view of the bay. An attractive feature is the legendary Tokeland Hotel and restaurant located across the street that serves excellent cuisine.

Spaces too close, no picnic tables, and NO ocean.
Walk the mudflats, read a book, but no privacy. And, no ocean.
Pricey!
Spaces not on bay view, looked like a homeless RV camp.

The man running it was rough. Checking in it was as if we were inconveniencing him. There are 2 sites with a triangle of grass otherwise you are just a few feet apart from your neighbor. Pictures show water views with stone fire pits. Those are only on one side for about 4 sites. The other side is much smaller and just has small fire rings. Only room for a couple chairs. No tables. $63 is alot for no actual water view from a "water view " site. Also a couple large area dogs loose and roam daily. Park is tiny. Has a 2 houses on it. There's also construction going on them. From about 8am till sun down. ( looks as if its just started) Lots of workers trucks makes it even tighter. The bay is empty most of the time. Just mud. Best thing was the internet was good.
