Nice State Park C/G, trees, paved access roads and sites, water and electric. All sites appear to be quite level, and easily accessible. The c/g has a million squirrels, maybe two million!
This is primarily a fishing campground and during the season it will be very busy.
Lakeside sites get a premium and no discount for we seniors.

We stayed in the off season, so the campground was fairly empty and quiet, perfect given we work while full-time traveling. The campground office did not open until the weekend, and we never saw the camp host until we were leaving. We did see many maintenance workers doing various odd jobs around the grounds.
The campground is pretty basic with water and electric (50amp), and an open dump.
The roads snake around so be careful if in a "big rig" and there were a few low hanging branches. We had rain while we were there and some areas had standing water, I could see how the campground could easily flood, however most sites are built up a little.
The boardwalk trail at the visitor center was nice.
Note the price includes tax and reservation fee.

Reelfoot lake is very peaceful. Stayed here for only one night en route to Arizona. As far as hiking or activity not much is going on. Fishing is the dominate activity, so if you love to fish this is your place. Not a bad spot in the campground except for the very rear near the slough. Its very wet there an smells. If you can stay away from that area. Other than that its right on par with relaxation. Nice friendly staff as well. Showers are clean and maintained.

Stayed here October 18-23. Very remote park on the lake. Lots of loud vehicles on the road nearby all night long. We arrived in the dark and were scheduled for spot 68. Due to the amount of rain, that spot was flooded all around the pad. We were able to move to spot 54 which was a nice and long concrete pad spot. The one drawback to this park is all the bugs. We saw bugs we’ve never seen before. Others we talked to say this is normal and it’s year round. Once the sun went down, you could not be outside for long. And if you need a signal, this is not the place. Great for a getaway, but don’t rely on it.

We used this as stopover night. It is out of the way for that purpose. So, if that’s you potential use, I’d pass.
We had booked a pull thru site because were getting in late. The site was level and we didn’t have to unhook. The site barely fit our set up, which isn’t that big. The outdoor space was minimal and not conducive to wanting to hang at your site.
Make sure you remember almost all these sites are water and electric only. Don’t be fooled by the stub out that resembles a sewer hook up. That’s the water cut off. We found out that is an issue they have happen. If you start dumping your tank, you’ll have a mess and you will be charged for the clean up.
In walking around the campground, we noticed plenty of better sites. There is a large open park area in the middle. You have direct access to the lake.
This campground seems to attract people that are within a few hours of the area. Lots of family groups.
The lake is fairly shallow and provides a swamp like feel. Bugs are bad and it is very humid.
All in all, not our kind of place. That includes the whole “resort” area around this lake.

We camped at the airpark campground. It's a small campground with only 14 sites with hookups plus primitive sites. The larger campground was completely booked the weekend we went but we shared the small campground with only 3 other campers. Very peaceful and secluded which is just what we were looking for. It was a little difficult to find but if you drive to the end of Hwy 213 and take a left at the stop sign, it'll take you straight in. The location previously housed an inn and restaurant many years ago so there are some rundown remnants like an old filled-in pool with bathhouse and pavilion at the entrance. Don't forget insect repellent as the flies are horrible in the evenings but I'd expect nothing less near the lake. Highly recommend Gray's Camp down the road if you're looking for a friendly place to rent a boat. We arrived when they opened at 6:30 and were told to just have the boat back at dark. We stayed on the lake for 11 hours. Great fishing and eagle sightings! Also, recommend The Pit located near the main park if you want some great BBQ.

It’s a fisherman’s campground for sure so it’s awesome for this. The campground is on the small side with hard to back in sites for big rigs. At the moment sites are flooded. It’s not worth the detour to go here unless like I said it’s for fishing.
The parcs visitor center is a nice visit.
Area was affected by a tornado in December.

The campground is very nice, clean, level and we stayed at one of the lake front sites. The campground isn't far from town so you have the ability to eat at a restaurant or run to the grocery if you need to. The area is still recovering from a tornado but the campground wasn't hurt by it. Caution: The lake is well known for having snakes in it so i don't recommend swimming in it. We had one swim right up to the bank behind our site. We did LOVE kayaking in the lake though. Lots of Eagles around so keep an eye out for them. Cell service was 2LTE bars on Verizon, but we had good coverage most of the time. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful lake! Our site (10) was a lakeside site and well worth it. The cypress trees are majestic and there is lots of wildlife…little critters and birds. We did see 1 small water snake so beware. The sites are small and some are pretty close together. Ours was right next to an open field and had the perfect water access for a canoe or kayaks. The bathhouse is dated but clean. Had perfect cell coverage the entire time (ATT), no issues at all. There a couple restaurants about 5 min down the road and other town amenities close by. A really great place to relax, will visit again.

Arrived later than planned. The directions were not the best route. Advice would be to follow the signs.
Very nice campground and very quiet.
Large showers with plenty of hot water.
Large spacious sites with paved pads.
Would definitely stay here again.
