Stay away from this place. We pulled in, saw the conditions, and rolled right back out.
What a shithole. Never again. I was told of two people who live there are on the sexual predictors list and from looking at this shit hole I believe them
Frederick County as of September 7, 2024, cut off electricity to the park due to numerous electrical code violations and other violations after numerous warning. The park is mostly permanent residents.

Went there three years ago the bathrooms were absolutely horrible I had to clean the shower and the toilets and brush all the spider webs and sweep it before I could use it it was so gross they have no laundry facility like they said the owner wants you to pay to use a piece of s*** shower house there's no swimming pool like they said there's no trash bin it's a little shed you want he wants you to throw your stuff in and then there's little garbage cans that you can put your stuff in it's always overflowing the park by the river is nice and kept up the other sections are horrible and have two trailers look like they're falling apart and should be condemned there's lots of drugs and drinking loud noise absolutely terrible and the owners are not very friendly
I am a single mom and have been taking my children and grandchildren here for about 20 years. It is a great place to go if you want to show your children what real camping is like. I don't know how it can be described as a terrible place since going camping is enjoying the outdoors and roughing it! The campsites are right on the river. You can watch the trout and even catch them in your hand. The restrooms and showers are in the woods but you do have running warm water and toilet paper. The swimming pool is small but a nice treat when you are supposed to be "camping". There is a state park with a beautiful lake and boat rentals about 5 minutes up the road. Many hiking trails to the falls. A nice petting zoo in Thurmont. The campsite has been run by a family that lives at the site. Very nice regular people. You want to go camping this is a nice place. You want to go cushy camping stay at a Hilton camp ground.
