Hot Springs Water Park
Poor lifeguarding, don’t take your kids unless you want to watch them and everyone else’s during your visit. Only one guard on stand for 2 pools with up to 100 people going between the two for 55 minutes of the time we were there. No staff watching slides at top or bottom. When more guards arrived, only one carried a boey with them, no one had fanny packs with regulation gloves and cpr masks, no spinal back board in sight. Were there an accident, even if it were at a moment when they had more than one guard on duty, I am not confident they would be able to carry out safety procedures with low staff/ lack of equipment I saw today. Brought these issues up to management and they were rude, then chewed out the guards (it was clearly an issue with management who set low expectations and understaffed, not at all the guards fault). These pools are not up to Red Cross regulation standards. Had a nice soak but not worth the hazards. $12 a person to worry about other people’s kids drowning. Find another establishment to enjoy Thermopolis’s hot springs.
Great resort for the family. Water was great even though the weather was very very cold. My kids had fun here. I would come back soon.
Best hot spring resort for the entire family
