Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 31, 2023Just spent 5 days at Fooshee, for the most part it was good. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, had a waterfront spot that we did enjoy. That said, i don't think we'd stay here again. The biggest reason, the very poor design of the water spigot and electric receptacle. The water spigot is in the ground right next to the mud, very hard to get to. Also, watch where you stand turning the water off as they have a frost free adapter on them that spews water at you when you turn it off. The electrical, there is NO way to shut it off. The receptacle is about 12" off of the ground which means when you connect your surge protector, your connections are laying on the ground. When it rains, it rains and splatters directly onto your plug/connections.
The pump out, is slanted away from the sewer connection so your tanks drain slowly and you can't get all of the waste/water out of them.
The bathroom stalls are only about 4' high, so while your tanking a dump, anyone can walk in and look you right in the eye.
They have a sign telling you to stop and check in, but apparently that means stop dead in your tracks and park in the road as there is no turn around if you pull into the office area.
All in all, we had a pleasant time and enjoyed our spot. If it wasn't for the very poor design of the campground we would have had a better time.

When we arrived to stay in site 9, we found out that it is a site that shares a driveway with site 8. In fact it shares the same pad as site 8, leaving your RV immediately next to the site 8 campers. The reservation website did not mention this at all. Fortunately, we were able to stay in a very roomy, private, and shaded site, site 5.
Many of the sites offer no privacy, and some are very small. The best sites in our opinion are 1, 2, 4, 5, 18, and 38.
Yeah, the water and power set ups are a little weird, but they worked for us, in spite of the poor water pressure at our site.
All in all it's a mixed bag of good and bad. We would stay again but only in site 5.
